TamiCo. Dancing Introduce
For New York City residents, particularly those in the Bronx, seeking a dance school that emphasizes personal growth and a genuine love for the art form, TamiCo. Dancing stands as a community fixture. Founded in 2009 by Tamiko Maldonado, TamiCo. Dancing Inc. was established with a mission that extends beyond just dance steps: to build life-learning skills and teach young artists to genuinely respect and love the art of dance. This approach aims to provide not only personal fulfillment but also a lasting positive effect on each student's life.
TamiCo. Dancing prides itself on offering quality dance education that encourages limitless expression. The philosophy centers on creating an environment where students can thrive mentally and hone their artistic abilities. This dedication to holistic development is something many parents and students deeply appreciate, as it contributes to their growth as individuals, not just dancers. Students often speak of being pushed to be their best selves, both in dance and in life, fostering discipline, a strong work ethic, and confidence.
While one review mentions concerns about facilities and extensive rehearsal schedules for recitals, other testimonials highlight the positive aspects of TamiCo. Dancing, particularly the supportive community and dedicated staff. Many students have found a "great community and a great environment" at the studio, feeling that "all the teachers and staff are the best and very supportive and helpful!" This indicates a strong internal culture built on mutual encouragement and a shared passion for dance. The founder, Tamiko Maldonado, is frequently praised for her professionalism, organization, and devotion to the studio's success, which in turn leads to success for all participants.
The studio's impact is further evidenced by success stories of former students, such as Destinee Castillo, who began dancing at TamiCo. Dancing at age 10, learned technique, discipline, and work ethic, and later became a full-time instructor after attending Fiorello H. Laguardia High School for Music and Art and Performing Arts. Such narratives underscore the school's ability to prepare students for future artistic endeavors and instill a lifelong love for dance. For those in the Bronx looking for a dance home that blends rigorous training with a supportive community, TamiCo. Dancing offers a unique opportunity.
TamiCo. Dancing is located at 301 E Kingsbridge Rd 3rd floor, Bronx, NY 10458, USA. This address places the studio in a central and well-known area of the Bronx, a vibrant borough of New York City. East Kingsbridge Road is a significant thoroughfare, making the studio easily identifiable and generally accessible for residents within the surrounding Bronx neighborhoods, including Fordham, Kingsbridge, and Norwood.
The studio's location in the Bronx benefits from New York City's extensive public transportation network. It is typically within a reasonable walking distance or a short bus ride from multiple subway stations, including lines that serve this part of the Bronx, such as the B and D lines at Kingsbridge Road, and the 4 line at Fordham Road or Kingsbridge Road. Numerous local bus routes also operate along East Kingsbridge Road and nearby streets, providing additional convenient transit options for students and families.
While street parking in New York City can be challenging, the commercial nature of East Kingsbridge Road may offer various parking garages or metered street parking options nearby for those who choose to drive. TamiCo. Dancing Reviews
The Bronx branch is a total disaster! The unpainted hallways with a strong public bathroom smell ... It's disgusting! My daughter was there for 4 months and the experience was not good at all. Classes are taught by girls, which, in my opinion, do not have much experience. They are only more advanced students. They spend all the time rehearsing for a final presentation (recital) and not teaching the Ballet techniques they must teach. Of course, the recital is very important for them, since they take a lot of money out of the sacrifice and sweat of our daughters. The last week they are required to go to rehearse 5 days a week, 4 days from 6 to 9 and the last day from 6 to 10:30 at night. The first day of rehearsals my daughter was sitting on the floor during those 4 hours and at the end her group could not rehearse. Not to mention that I was waiting for her in their disgusting, hot hallway all the time sitting on the floor. There were little girls crying from fatigue ... and even so these people dare not accept the proposal to organize a program of the event, so each girl sees to rehearse only the time they need to. I decided that my daughter would not dance and she agreed because she was not comfortable with the "school" either. In conclusion, register your daughter here only if you want them to take advantage of her and your pocket!

Jun 03, 2023 · hearts4briLet me just say, my experience was right before the pandemic yes, I'm late but for some reason this popped up on my Google so here I am. Where do I begin! That buildings was soooo run down it was discussing but, I was really wanting to support business in my area. Our recital was supposed to be June of 2020 to start my daughters costume came in waaayyy to small never reordered. Then they had the audacity to charge me aaaalllll through the pandemic! Because it was a contract well the contract didn't mention anything about online classes because of a global pandemic. They had bills to pay ok, so did millions of parents who were also out of work and I mean they called me to say I need to pay because I was late! SORRY MY BILLS WERE A PRIORITY LIKE RENT AND FOOD. I had no idea when or if my office would reopen. It's such poor taste to treat your community like that in such a dark time. I also remember my daughter had like 4 new teachers in 2/3month and none had proffessionaism. My child generally did not learn anything. Teachers were not kid friendly nor welcoming to parents they never introduced themselves to me nor said hello.( of course I said hello and asked their names) I don't know if things have changed I hope so but, I would not recommend this Bronx location at all. I'm glad these 5 stars had a much better experience or they don't know better

Sep 21, 2018 · Francisco UrenaI’ve been a student at Tamico Dancing now for three years and it has been an incredible experience. Yes it takes a lot of time hard work and dedication but that is required in any good dance school. The teachers here also push for the students to achieve greatness. Tamico Dancing has helped me with a lot including getting into a high school named Frank Sinatra. Frank Sinatra is a very competitive high school in which you have to audition to get in. I’m also one of the students in Frank Sinatra with the least amount of experience but thanks to Tamico Dancing I was able to catch up and dance on the same level with girls that have up to 6 more years of experience. Another great thing is, I was able to be apart of a big happy family through working with other students who are now my closest friends.
