The 8th Count Dance Studio Reviews
Great teachers with a loving atmosphere. My daughter has thrived here over the years and her dancing continues to improve year after year because of the great staff. They encourage and challenge with just the right balance. My daughter is part of the competition team and enjoys being an assistant in classes with younger children each year. She loves the leadership opportunities she has been given to bond with other children.Dance is her true happy place and her "thing." She looks forward to practice every week and during comp season she lives for dancing weekends.
Aug 16, 2024 · Cora LeibowitzMy daughter just finished her 5th year as a recreational dancer at 8th Count. She has loved every minute and flourished as a dancer. The studio, owners, instructors have allowed my daughter to grow at her pace and encouraged her to reach for the stars. Because of that nurturing, she is now starting her first year as a competition dancer and loving it!The studio is great for recreational dancers as it is the most affordable dance class around. I have appreciated everything the owners have done for their students and families! It has been a great experience!
Aug 14, 2024 · Amber WebbTwo of my kiddos dance at 8th. One is a recreational dancer and the other is on their competition team. Both have had amazing experiences that match their levels and needs. The teachers are super friendly and approachable. They even have adult classes! As my older daughter has grown with the studio so have her relationships. She has developed lasting friendships here. She also has the opportunity for leadership in the studio by being an assistant. She is taught the value of dedication and teamwork in addition to just acquiring new skills. The owners also encourage individualized growth as opposed to comparing oneself to others. I have seen both my girls become more confident with dance here. There are varying levels of competing too. If you’re not ready for a full competition experience you can start off slow with just one or two numbers. It’s all what you want out of it. We are all very satisfied with the studio!
Aug 16, 2024 · Rachel Blum-JoseI love 8th count! My daughter is a competitive dancer and they keep her very active with more than just standard routines and rehearsals. Our first year (post lockdown) was a complete dance culture shock! My daughter was older and new to the studio so competitive dance took on a whole new meaning for us! They are truly growing her as a dancer and making sure the dancers are fully immersed in the dance world which really expands their horizons and opportunities to see just how far dance can go! If you’re looking for a place where your dancer can dive in, be themselves and flourish then congratulations on finding this gem!
Aug 15, 2024 · Azyia GibbsThis is my daughter's 6th year on the competition team and she did other classes before that. She spends 3 days a week at this studio all year for all these years and I would only send her to a place I trust, that has great staff and a positive environment. She had crippling anxiety as a young child and the staff was extremely understanding and supportive and now she does solos on stage! Can't recommend this studio enough!
