The instruction focuses on foundational steps, rhythm, basic turn patterns, and partner connection, making it easy for newcomers to grasp the fundamentals.
Progressive Learning Structure: Classes are typically structured to build upon previous lessons, allowing students to progressively develop their skills and confidence on the dance floor over weeks.
Small Class Sizes: A key feature of their service is maintaining smaller class sizes. This allows for more personalized attention from the instructor, making it easier for students to ask questions and receive tailored feedback.
Welcoming and Supportive Environment: The instructors prioritize creating an atmosphere where every student feels comfortable, regardless of their experience level or initial shyness. This supportive setting encourages students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace the learning process.
Community Building: Beyond just dance steps, NYC Salsa Dance fosters a sense of community among its students. The classes become a space where individuals connect, support each other's progress, and often build friendships.

Feb 18, 2025 · Mario TapiasJacob is an extraordinary teacher who has a lot of heart and passion. From the moment I walked in on my first day, all my nerves vanished, and I began to enjoy myself. As someone who is deaf, I often struggle to find classes that are accessible as booking interpreters are expensive (which needs to be changed). However, I had no issues with Jacob; he made everything comfortable for me and it was very easy for me to follow as I learn the steps. I will definitely be returning for more lessons, and I highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning Salsa! DO IT!
