★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The dance instructors know their craft. When a pro needs to release a student, the student should have input on selecting the new instructor. Otherwise, the transition could be awkward. Turn around times for communication are typically 2 business days. The instructor should tell the student that the instructor can no longer teach that student. Instructors should teach their students in an appropriate tone, volume and rate of speech.
May 27, 2025 · Dave GriffinThis is a great dance studio. My partner and I have been taking lessons with Susanna for about a year (coming from a complete beginner background), and we now have a couple social dances in our back pocket for events or fun outings. No contracts and prices of private lessons are very affordable for this type of class in this area.We have also gone to several of the group classes and parties and they are wonderful too! If you have friends/family visiting, consider checking out a group class for an affordable, educational, and fun time!
Apr 12, 2024 · Madison McKinneyLove this studio! It is truly one of my favorite places. Three ballrooms, great floors, a good amount of space, super convenient location, and Christopher is an excellent instructor! (and a really fun person.) I came with some previous dance experience and was able to immediately get plugged in and continue taking my dance to the next level. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into or continue dancing. The instructors are excellent and friendly, and coaching is frequently available. In addition, it's one of the most supportive groups of students/dancers I have come across in my dancing. I have made several wonderful friends in the three years I've been dancing at the studio. The owners and instructors put a lot of effort into creating an environment where people feel welcome and the resulting student group reflects that. They are always ready and eager to cheer each other on in their dancing journeys.Regardless of your dance/experience level, if you want to compete or just dance socially, this is your spot. Try it. You won't regret it!
May 06, 2024 · Deborah KangasThe Ballroom of Nashville is a wonderful environment to learn all types of ballroom/social partner dancing. It is by far the highest quality instruction at the lowest prices in the Nashville area. Whether you want to social dance, perform in showcases or compete, there is something for everyone here. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and willing to teach you as fast as you can learn. I personally love working with my instructor, Claire Ramage, but there are many other talented instructors as well, ready to help take your dancing to the next level. There are no contracts of any kind, you can simply pay as you go and start/stop anytime you need to. Showcases are much cheaper as well, which are performed bi-annually. This is great for those who want to perform in a showcase, but feel shut out by the exorbitant costs at other places.Additionally, if you desire to compete, the Ballroom of Nashville is a top ranked studio in the nation for competing. Whether that would be in the ballroom (NDCA), country (UCWDC) or the various swing dance circuits, you are allowed to attend and compete. Some studios will limit you (with rare exceptions) to their own "in-house" or closed studio events where you will only be competing against fellow students from the said studio or other like-minded studios in the area (there are reasons for this that are beyond the scope of this review). Not at the Ballroom of Nashville, they do not shy away from the big comps. This is the way ballroom dancing should be. Don’t waste your money at high-pressure, sales-oriented studios, come here.
Feb 17, 2024 · Jacob ChallyThe best ballroom studio in Nashville! The owners are welcoming and inclusive, and there are no contracts or pressure to purchase. Also the best value in Nashville--the teachers here are highly trained and don't overcharge like the franchise studios do.The dance floor is also top of the line; my knees and hips are never sore after lessons. Nice tall ceilings too, so there's plenty of space for lifts.I wouldn't go anywhere else!
