In the vibrant landscape of New York City, finding a dance school that prioritizes individual growth over intense competition, while still delivering spectacular performance opportunities, is truly valuable. Silhouette Dance Studio has mastered this balance, making it a cherished part of the Staten Island community. Customers consistently praise the well-trained and patient teachers, particularly Miss Sandy, who ensure that even beginning dancers quickly pick up new skills. This article will provide a comprehensive look into Silhouette Dance Studio, covering its convenient location, the array of services it offers, its unique features and highlights, and ultimately, why it's a perfect fit for locals throughout the New York region, especially on Staten Island.
Silhouette Dance Studio is conveniently located at 230 Livingston Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, USA. This address places the studio within a well-established and accessible neighborhood on Staten Island. Livingston Avenue is a known street, contributing to the studio's ease of identification and reach within the borough.
For Staten Island residents, accessibility to Silhouette Dance Studio is generally very practical. Livingston Avenue is served by several local MTA bus routes, providing direct and convenient public transportation options for students and families living in the surrounding areas. For example, nearby bus stops like Bradley Av/Harold St and Brielle Av/Livingston Av are just a short walk away (5-6 minutes according to transit information), connecting the studio to various parts of the island. While Staten Island does not have a direct subway connection to Manhattan, the comprehensive bus network allows for transfers to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, which provides free ferry service to Lower Manhattan, making the studio potentially accessible for those combining bus and ferry travel from other parts of New York City. The Staten Island Railway (SIR) also has stations within a reasonable distance, such as Grant City, though it might require a bus transfer or longer walk.
For those traveling by car, Livingston Avenue, being in a residential and semi-commercial area of Staten Island, typically offers more manageable street parking options compared to the denser urban core of Manhattan or parts of Brooklyn. While finding a spot might require a bit of searching during peak hours, it is generally less challenging than in other NYC boroughs. The studio's presence within a community-focused area means it is often surrounded by other local amenities, adding to the convenience for parents and students. Silhouette Dance Studio Reviews
My girls love dancing at Silhouette's Dance Studio. The teachers are patient and extremely well trained. Even beginning dancers will feel comfortable and pick up new skills quickly under their tutelage. The best part is the final performances which are held at The College of Staten Island's Performance Art Center. Each year my family and I look forward to the spectacular show that is theme based. This year the theme is Paris. How fitting in light of it's history and friendship with our nation.I can't wait to see the costumes and the new moves.
Jan 07, 2016 · Colette CaesarMy girls have been dancing at Silhouette for a few years now. My oldest started in 2012 and my other daughter 2013. I am very very happy having my girls there. The girls love to dance and love Miss Sandy and the rest of the teachers. All the teachers are very patient and take time to teach the littles new techniques each week. I love that there is no competition and added pressure put on my girls. At the end of the season the recital is held at CSI and the girls have their time to shine on stage which now they love. It took them each a year to get used to the big stage idea. Lastly Silhouette is like extended family, I love being able to go and wait while my girls dance. Miss Sandy always has time if you have any questions and concerns. If the kids are upset or have any issues with separation Miss Sandy lets the parents in until their children are comfortable. My family couldn't be happier with this wonderful & attentive studio!
