May 19, 2025 · GioI moved to Portland a little over a year ago and found Rhythms pretty early in my time here. I was just looking for a good workout that was close to home but I’ve found so much more!Tenley is absolutely amazing. She’s a phenomenal instructor who will push you to challenge yourself. She’s expanded the studio and brought in other remarkable instructors who each bring their own energy and vibe to class. And most importantly, she cares deeply about her students and she’s cultivated an amazing community with BIPOC women in mind.I’ve never had so much fun and felt so safe in a workout studio before and I encourage you to stop by and give Rhythms a try!
Mar 16, 2025 · Azana WashingtonThis space is absolutely beautiful and welcoming. I feel so safe and feel the communal love in this space. All the teachers and classes I’ve attended thus far have been transcendental, emotional, enlightening and loving. If you’re looking for a safe space to honor your body and move freely this is the place for you. Tenley is a magical presence whose light lifts you up. I am so grateful for this space.
Feb 18, 2023 · Shayna Hodge - they themrhythms is a really special studio—I could not recommend it enough. I had never done pilates before, in large part because of the connotation it has as a wealthy, thin, white woman's activity. I’m so glad rhythms is my first exposure because it’s the exact opposite. If you've ever felt self-conscious during a group exercise class, this is the place for you! Tenley is an amazing instructor and cool as hell. She pushes you in a fun low-key way but will never make you feel bad for struggling. Every body is welcome, and as someone who struggles with injuries and chronic pain, nothing has helped me get stronger in a low-impact way like pilates has. There's always a modification to make things more accessible. Other workouts have left me in pain and feeling overstretched, including yoga, but this has been such a game-changer.The space itself has the most gorgeous natural light, and everyone I’ve met in classes is so sweet. They also have sound baths every month and really cute community events. I'm so grateful to have found rhythms!
