Free Mind, The Studio Reviews
100/10 MUST GO!! I found Free Mind on Class Pass and booked an hour before class, I was only in the city for 2 days and wanted to find a fun dance class. I was happy they still let me attend though I was running behind trying to find the place. I booked Floor Play first and came back the same day for Heels Class because of how much I enjoyed the class and the overall environment, plus the instructor Cali was amazing!! I was so nervous yall!! I really want to come back and try more classes now and will definitely be back when I’m in the city!It was hard to find and get in to the building so don’t give up, but the second time I came I knew where I was going. Thanks for curating such a great space to let loose, feel sexy, and be empowered. XO
Mar 10, 2025 · Kelley LeeI can’t believe next month marks a year since I found this gem! I come for the sexy heels class, and it’s easily the highlight of my week. The instructor Callie, is amazing. She’s passionate, welcoming, and truly attentive, making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident in the choreography. The routines are not only sexy but also easy to follow, so you can really let go and enjoy yourself. What I love most is the atmosphere. Even when the class is full, it still feels peaceful and organized, which puts me at ease and makes me feel safe. I’m so glad I found this place, it’s worth the trip for me every time.
Mar 10, 2025 · Tiffany KokofuI've only been here a handful of times, but I can confidently say that this space adds value to the world. Big statement, I know, but we were all created to move our bodies to the sounds within and around us. Free Mind makes this possible for people like me, those of us who were not encouraged to organically connect with ourselves. The environment is safe, inclusive, and flexible enough to accommodate beginners. The studio itself is spacious and well lit. Every person on staff that I've encountered has always been friendly and helpful. I can't wait to be back!
Jun 15, 2025 · Diana Emilia ReyesFree Mind is like a second home to me! I've been coming to this studio since February and have not stopped. From the instructors to the people who come to class, everyone creates an empowering and fun environment that I immediately felt welcomed into. I love that this studio embraces people of all backgrounds, whether you have years of dance experience or if it's the first time you've ever been in a studio. I come for the fire dance classes but stay for the community and amazing people here! Shout out to Callie and her Sexy Heels class, and Madz and her Contemporary classes!!
Sep 26, 2024 · Mari SkoultchiStill unsure where the studio is because there is no number to call. Tried to come to class for the first time only to find no one at the location and no way to contact them. I live in the neighborhood and decided to drop by and try to pay on site. Pretty disappointed.Edit: They came through with the class which was lovely of them. Converted loft class space with enthusiastic instructors. Looking forward to them updating the website with their policies such as their expectation for students to sign up for classes an hour+ before they start and that they text a link to get into the building after signing up for classes. Useful info for anyone who decides to drop in to check them out.
