White Bluff Ballet & More Reviews
As a concerned family member, I feel obligated to warn others about this ballet studio. The instruction here is not just lacking in quality — it is potentially unsafe. The instructors are not certified to teach and show little to no evidence of formal ballet education or professional dance credentials. Teaching ballet—especially to children—requires much more than personal dance experience. Without proper teaching certification, knowledge of kinesiology, and an understanding of safe progression, students are at serious risk for long-term orthopedic issues. Most alarming is that students are being placed on pointe far too early, before developing the necessary strength, technique, and alignment. This is a critical safety issue and demonstrates a dangerous lack of professional judgment. The choreography is messy and unstructured, reflecting a broader lack of training and leadership. There’s no evidence of a thoughtful curriculum or a focus on true technical development. Please—do your research. Visit other schools. Attend their recitals. Read the instructors’ bios closely and look for certifications and professional teaching experience. A legitimate ballet school should be proud to display these credentials. Don’t be swayed by convenience or flashy costumes—quality training takes time, expertise, and structure. You may need to drive a bit farther or pay a little more, but the long-term benefits for your child’s health, confidence, and progress are worth every bit of that investment. Save your money and choose a studio that puts safety, professionalism, and proper training first.
Jun 23, 2025 · Mary ChappellMy kids love going here. They do gymnastics and I love that the focus is on having fun and developing balance. The focus is not on competitions which I didn’t want. I just wanted them to get some energy out. My daughter will do ballet this year and I also like that they believe in little girls not wearing full makeup and revealing costumes. My daughter just wants to wear a skirt, twirl, and have fun.
Jan 19, 2024 · Brooke welchWe had my daughter’s 3rd birthday party at White Bluff Ballet yesterday. I cannot brag enough on how well they have their parties set up. The package price is extremely reasonable, especially considering you get a 3 hour party and they literally do the entire party for you! We just picked a theme and showed up. The decor, food, and activities were all done for us. Everything was super cute and the food was fantastic! I expected them to set it all up and then just let us do our thing, but they were so hands on the entire party-serving food, cleaning the kids up after eating, etc. if you want a stress free, fun experience, choose WBB&M.
Jun 16, 2024 · Chasity RagsdaleMy daughter absolutely loves going here. She would absolutely stay all the time if she could! You won't find kinder, more patient coaches and instructors anywhere. They have given my daughter such confidence in herself, which is something she struggles with.
Jan 19, 2024 · Kelli AulidgeI had my daughter’s birthday party here and it was incredible!! The ladies were on top of all of the party details and the cake was delicious. They took the stress of planning off of me and they made her birthday one to remember. I highly recommend!
