Wilson School of Dance Reviews
We moved to the area from Arizona three years ago, coming from a competitive dance school where my daughter began building her foundation in dance. So, we had high expectations when searching for a new studio. From the very beginning, Wilson School of Dance stood out. My initial message was quickly followed by a personal phone call, and after speaking with the owner, office manager, and one of the instructors, I could already tell they genuinely cared about my daughter. That kind of intentional follow-through meant a lot.At first, I assumed Wilson was a small local studio, but I was surprised by how many students are enrolled. Despite the size, they make every family feel seen and valued. That personalized approach is rare and so appreciated. We had the opportunity to try a few different classes to find the right fit, and from day one, the other students welcomed my daughter with open arms. That kindness and sense of community helped her feel at ease in a new place. She now takes several classes each week and has found her people, young dancers who are not only talented, but encouraging and uplifting. My daughter is passionate about becoming a professional dancer, so finding the right environment was important to us. While Wilson offers a wide range of classes for all levels, we were able to place her in classes that continue to challenge and inspire her. Many of the teachers have been with the studio for years, and their experience shines through in both their instruction and the beautiful, expressive choreography showcased in performances. We’ve also discovered performance classes and opportunities, from seasonal showcases to more advanced stage productions, she’s gained exposure and experience that has helped build her love of dance. As a parent, I've also found a sense of community here. I’ve been able to connect with other families who share similar values, which has been such a gift. There’s a spirit of kindness and grace that is genuine and sincere, and is something that feels rooted in a strong, faith-filled foundation.Wilson School of Dance means so much to us. They nurture dancers of all ages and abilities with heart, discipline, and joy. We’re so grateful to have found a place that combines professional training with a true sense of belonging.
May 09, 2025 · Kris ByersThis place is a poorly maintained cash grab. Protect your child and choose a rebuttable establishment that has real instructors, rather than untrained minors teaching the classes. The owner communicates poorly and only shows up sporadically. Management is rude and unkind to the children, overall unhelpful and don’t follow their own policies. There’s a reason there are no current positive reviews for this school.
Apr 14, 2025 · AllisonWilson school of dance is the best studio I have attended. The owner Juanita is knowledgeable, professional, kind and compassionate. She is not only a wonderful dancer but a wonderful teacher. She has excellent staff that cares about learning and ensures each student is having fun. After every class, the teachers always end with words of praise. I feel extremely comfortable attending this school.
Oct 26, 2020 · Morgan MossWilson School of Dance not only provides exceptional training but a wonderful environment for my children to thrive. The staff not only focuses on each student's strengths and give them chances to shine but also gives just as much time to working on skills they need to polish. As for class variety there certainly is that, most classes are offered on multiple days and in multiple levels to fit into family schedules and skill sets. The training that my girls received has enabled both of them to pursue dance in college. My oldest is a dance major in a very competitive program and is excelling thanks to the training and mentorship Ms. Juanita and her staff have provided.
Jun 13, 2021 · Stephanie BowlesMy daughter took dance classes at the Wilson School of Dance for a number of years, and it was an excellent experience. We found quality instruction and caring teachers. In addition to developing her dance talent, my daughter gained self-confidence and valuable experience in teamwork, which continue to help her in life. We both enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships that grew there. I highly recommend Wilson School of Dance!
