The Governor's School For The Arts Reviews
I was at the school more than a decade ago. I was in the vocal department. For anyone who fits in with the normal every day crowd and if your parents have money, this school would be excellent for you.. a great opportunity hands down. This was not the case for me. There is not a day that goes by that I haven’t thought about some kind of horrendous Moment that I had spent at that school. I got in because I was talented, but once in I was not accepted, I was talked down to, talked down about with others including students, and I was left out of a lot of things. Once, I was even cast a lead role and was not even put in the pictures to advertise the show on my Night. I remember, we were taking a trip to New York, And we were required to come up with $300. I remember when I handed them my money I was asked if I had to do anything nasty in order to get that money. I was 14 years old. I was stunned. Insinuating that I was prostituting myself to go on a trip with them... because how could we EVER afford that? I never got to go, and I never got my money back either. I wish them all the best. But I would never send my children here.
