Park Slope Performing Arts is a wonderful place for children to express themselves and showcase their creativity! Before starting our own child in classes at PSPA, we had attended many of our nephew's performances and we knew it would be a great place for our sons to explore theater one day! Now (at ages 8 and 5) they have both attended multiple summer camp programs and classes during their school year semesters and we have always been so happy! Mr. Lincoln, Ms. Erin, Ms. Rebecca and all the staff are patient, kind, and encouraging, they make all children feel welcome and comfortable and we are so lucky to have them run this incredible gem of a place! This past weekend we attended the annual spring showcase and we were so impressed! Each student got their moment to shine in a small, intimidate setting unlike some dance/theater schools that have large groups and endless acts jammed into one performance. We were in tears by the end of the show after watching a slideshow of their graduating students memories from all their former years at PSPA- it just reminded us what a special place it is. Small businesses are so important to this community and we hope to see PSPA flourish for many more years to come!! - Colleen Coyne

Beyond performance and production skills, students gain self-confidence, learn the importance of personal responsibility in a group, and develop discipline and a sense of accomplishment. This holistic development is a significant benefit for participating children.

  • High-Quality Productions and Showcases: Parents are consistently "so impressed" by the annual showcases and productions. Despite the intimate setting, the quality of performances is high, demonstrating the effectiveness of the training.
