UNACCEPTABLE LACK OF TRANSPARENCY.We want to find a more rigorous dance class for our little girls so we decided to try the Nashville Ballet School. They offer a free trial class so we went today only to find that they have no screens of what is happening in the classroom and parents are not allowed to watch the classes. So they just take the kids back to an unknown room and the parents have NO idea what is being taught. How am I supposed to decide whether I want to pay hundreds of dollars to their school to teach my child to dance if I have no idea what they are teaching or how they are teaching it?Not to mention the liability and safety concerns, in this world today. The total lack of transparency is a huge concern. The teacher has absolutely no accountability in the classroom because it is only them and the children who are in the room. I taught in the classroom for ten years... I know that accountability is important and that transparency about what is being taught and how it is being taught is someone parents SHOULD have.It was a very frustrating experience, we were excited to get involved in this school. Too bad we can't even see what we are missing! We will not be back. - Rebecca Harding

Founded in 1986, Nashville Ballet has grown to become a nationally recognized company, renowned for its diverse repertoire and the exceptional talent of its professional dancers, many of whom hail from around the globe. These performances are often accompanied by live music, frequently featuring the acclaimed Nashville Symphony, adding another layer of artistic excellence to the experience.

Beyond the stage, the School of Nashville Ballet provides exemplary dance instruction for individuals from two to over seventy years old. With a curriculum focused on development, inclusivity, and excellence, the school aims to instill a love for movement and the fundamental foundations of classical ballet. The Nashville Ballet also extends its reach far into the community through extensive educational initiatives, bringing the artistry, beauty, and athleticism of dance to tens of thousands of individuals each year through visits to schools, libraries, parks, and community centers. This holistic approach underscores their mission to make dance an accessible and inspiring part of everyone's life here in Tennessee.
