★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently try to book from this space as I previously have and had a good experience. This time was completely different. I spoke with the owner on the phone to inquire about the availability of her larger studio and she said it was available. She told me she’d reach back out through txt or call to confirm payment details, etc. I waited with no response and so my assumption is that it is not confirmed considering I’m not from LA and this is only my second time renting. I reach out to let her know that I did not have time to promote and she responded so rudely. I will not be using this space ever again if I decide to teach in Los Angeles.
Feb 01, 2025 · Christopher HarrisI booked a class here yesterday for my teenager, and our experience was deeply disappointing. While the class itself had high energy and the instructor started with a friendly hug, the overall environment was unacceptable. My daughter, who has artistic ADHD, was repeatedly asked to sit in the corner during practice. She tried to practice with the group like everyone else, but the instructor rudely told her to “park somewhere else.” To make matters worse, during the final presentation, the instructor even stared at her and instructed her not to perform on stage while they were recording. This kind of communication is not only disrespectful but downright shameful. It completely ruined my daughter’s night, especially since we had every right to dance and participate fully as ticket holders.Additionally, the attitude of the girl at the reception further contributed to our negative experience. We felt unwelcome and belittled, which overshadowed any positives from the class.I’m giving two stars, one for the energetic class and another for the brief positive interaction. However, this studio needs to seriously reconsider how they treat their students. No dancer should feel dismissed or humiliated in front of others.
Oct 16, 2024 · Sabrina AlderThe owner couldn’t be bothered with professionalism or meeting the basics, like showing up to open the damn studio!Had a meeting set on a Sunday and she didn’t show up. She was unhelpful and completely RUDE. From past experiences her staff isn’t really great either. Pretty clueless and unhelpful. The studio itself is ok. It’s not a dump but it’s not great either. Tacky tape to not let the volume go high. Old speakers. Poor lighting. Unkept floors. Pretty much imagine everything being spectacularly below average.Would not recommend renting space here period, especially on a Sunday. Really the studio is not for you unless you do ballet on account of the sound. Not worth coming when there’s plenty of other better studios nearby and throughout the city for that matter.Get your _____ together…
Dec 16, 2022 · Leonardo FloresThe Dance theatre is a space I’d come to create and practice for my shows of course. I’ve been coming here for 3-4 years now and honestly if it weren’t for the circumstances I would’ve left a long time ago. I’m not sure how she has 4.6 stars, she does not know the meaning of customer service and simple tact.1. The business phone attached to the google account is actually the managers personal phone number. It also states that the theatre is 24 hours.I suspected my purse was stolen out of my car but I wasn’t sure either because the last place I was, was the dance theatre. So I gave a call to the dance theatre and a woman answers, she sounds annoyed. I informed her about possibly losing my bag there and wanted to see if anyone reported anything. She said “I’m not there, call back later and hung up on me.”I let it go even tho it said 24 hrs and listed that particular number. I work 9-7 and so calling during before or after is my schedule. I called back a few days later she answered again. I informed her we spoke Briefly previously and I’m inquiring about anyone turning in a purse/bag “ she says I’m asleep and hung up in my face.”Finally called back today and she goes “there’s no bag here”No ma’am. no probably not after a month and you literally was soo rude about it. Most of all I’m CERTAIN you did NOT check!!! I would not have made a complaint had I not had terrible experiences with her before. Absolutely rude lady, she has blonde hair and is older Im sure she s the owner.I was sooo nice to this lady even though repeatedly she was rude, even when signing in . Maybe she’s taking advantage of high rating idk but seriously distasteful. You reap what you sow. Simply put.
