Branches of Dance, located at 4425 Pottsville Pike #3, Reading, PA, aims to provide an environment where children can explore the art of dance. Like any local business, experiences can vary, and it's always wise for families in Pennsylvania to do thorough research to ensure a good fit for their unique needs.
Branches of Dance offers a variety of dance programs, typically catering to youth and aspiring dancers. Their website highlights a commitment to professional lessons for various styles, including ballet, hip-hop, and preschool classes. For many parents, finding a studio that offers foundational techniques alongside more modern styles is important, allowing children to explore different facets of dance. The goal of many dance studios, including Branches of Dance, is to instill a love for movement, music, and performance in their students.
A key aspect of any dance studio is the quality of instruction. Branches of Dance emphasizes proper dance technique and individual attention, aiming to ensure that each child grasps the fundamentals and develops correct posture and form. While classes are often delivered in group settings, smaller class sizes are typically designed to ensure that each child receives personalized guidance. This focus on individual development can be beneficial for students looking to refine their skills and progress at their own pace.
For students interested in performing, Branches of Dance offers a Performance Team. This team is dedicated to training dancers professionally and preparing them for various performance opportunities, both locally and potentially in larger venues. This can provide valuable experience for young dancers who aspire to showcase their talents, build stage presence, and develop as well-rounded performers. These opportunities can be a significant draw for motivated students and their families.
The studio's stated goal of fostering a "family-oriented" atmosphere is often a priority for local parents. Creating a welcoming environment where students and teachers connect, and where everyone feels welcomed and involved, can significantly enhance the learning experience. Such an environment can help children feel comfortable, build friendships, and develop a sense of belonging, which is crucial for their overall development.
When considering any local activity provider, it’s important for Pennsylvanian families to review all aspects of the services offered, including policies on fees, missed classes, and studio access. Transparency in these areas helps ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone involved. Potential clients are encouraged to directly contact Branches of Dance to clarify any questions they may have about policies, fees, and the day-to-day operations of the studio to ensure it aligns with their expectations.
Dance classes, when conducted in a safe and supportive environment, offer numerous benefits beyond just learning steps. They can improve physical fitness, coordination, discipline, and boost confidence. Students learn the importance of hard work and perseverance, qualities that extend beyond the dance studio. For families in Reading and surrounding areas looking for an activity that combines physical movement with artistic expression and life skills development, understanding all facets of a dance program is key.

Branches of Dance Reviews
I don’t even know where to start………I’ll start by saying this place is absolutely disgusting, over flowing trash cans with food and flys everywhere, this wasn’t a 1 time thing, every time I went in there it stunk so bad of trash and feet, I put both my daughters through branches of dance and I’m sorry I subjected them to it, when signing them up I wasn’t made aware of the TONS of hidden fees I’d be paying as I went, my wife was talking to the desk person and I made coffee…..the creamer was rotten with chunks in it and it made me sick I had to leave, they close the studio on dance nights and we still have to pay for it, but if you miss or a child is sick there is no make up classes, I couldn’t buy there costumes elsewhere because I had to spend over $100 for each of my kids when I could of spent $10 for the same exact ones at Walmart, $25 each per kid for pictures and $25 for group photos and videos where upwards of $100, and all you get is a digital copy emailed to you, every week, is some fee or deadline, I was told I was “late” on some payment and that if not paid right away my 5yr old wouldn’t be allowed through the doors at the event! There’s no video recording allowed so if you can’t afford the video you get nothing, in fact everything has to be done through them and paid for, only good thing I can say is if your kids are there and you ant something to do (because the door is closed so you can’t watch them dance) you can go into the back room and get a “massage by Amy” lol seems shady, after the 1k i spent for less then 45min per week my kids got a sticker at the end,I even had to give back the lanyards, not to mention I also had to pay for tickets to watch them dance, i could keep going till there’s no more room on here to write, learn from our mistake and do some research and choose a better place to send your kids, this place is a rip off, unless you like stinky dirty places with more hidden fees then a cell phone contract……never again, oh and the parking lot is a nightmare good luck with that
Jul 03, 2025 · Anthony LoftonWe did a trial class and my 3 year old has been begging to go back since. The teacher and assistants were super friendly and wonderful with the little kids. We joked that they must have PHD's in herding cats. The owner gave us a tour and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be signing up for weekly lessons.
Oct 06, 2023 · Annika MetzgerSo happy to have found this place!! We did our first free trial class for dance with me classes. Instructor Cheyenne was great and patient with her for her first dance class. A lot of great opportunities ahead!
Feb 03, 2025 · ArielI absolutely love this class. The fact that we can participate with the kids was perfect. My daughter has a hard time listening to directions at times, but with my help and her seeing fellow dance mates, she did really well and truly enjoyed herself!
Jan 06, 2025 · Jessica AresMy 4 yo daughter had her first trial class this past week. She really enjoyed it and didn’t want to leave when it was over.
