Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance Reviews
Our journey with BBTC started over 10 years ago—my daughter danced for 3 years and then quit—I was devastated, lol! As a former dancer, I only wish I could’ve done my ballet & pointe training somewhere like this. I don’t think Berks County knows how lucky we are to have a center of this caliber and instructors as skilled and motivated to not only teach, but seek and create professional-level opportunities and productions for young dancers.edit: Gosh, thanks a lot Google for eating half of my review! Here’s the rest:While my daughter might not have become besties with ballet, she DID love her time at BBTC, and still talks about it today, still wants to see performances—and because of that, her 6 yo brother began voicing interest. I wasn’t sure whether it’s last, but I knew there was only one place to find out! And with only 1 class, he was hooked. His school teacher says he talks about dance to everyone, he practices without prompting, and he’s already decided he’ll someday be “Clara,” which is a bubble I’ll let Mr Nathan break! 😂But seriously—the Nutcracker is a great example of the type of opportunity here. Not only the chance to perform in a professional production regardless of skill, but to be welcomed, to intermingle with professional dancers—I know it made a huge impact on him. I am so pleased to be back, it’s been a joy watching my little guy discover a love for dance, respect for his teachers, and confidence in himself. I hope he continues for a long time, but regardless, I know we will have made the best memories at BBTC.
Jan 04, 2025 · Robin LynnWe love Berks Ballet! My oldest two (4 and 6) have been dancing there for two years now and can’t wait for my littlest one to start! My girls love their classes and learn so many skills - patience, balance, rhythm, and such a sense of pride/accomplishment when they are able to perform on stage at the year end recital. Highly recommend!
Feb 28, 2023 · Kristen RootI am an adult ballet dancer who found her home at Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance (BBTCD). It is always a challenge to find excellent technique taught to adults, as well as leveled classes and not just open level classes, but I found that here at BBTCD, in addition to a supportive learning environment. Everyone at this school is so friendly and welcoming to new students. After training there for about a year, I was even given the opportunity to perform in their production of “The Nutcracker” as a party parent, which was so much fun, and an honor to be a small part of. If you’re an adult dancer looking for great classes in a supportive, nurturing and fun environment, you will find a home here at BBTCD. I’m extremely appreciative of all the opportunities and excellent training I received here. I love my BBTCD family!
Nov 15, 2023 · LeighMy daughter has been with BBT for over 8 years now. She’s currently in the pre-professional program, taking classes 4 times a week, as well as a Company class on the weekend. If she’s not dancing, she’s thinking about ballet - she loves every moment of it! I attribute her love and passion for ballet to the quality of this program - she’s learning impeccable technique, but also resilience, responsibility, artistry, teamwork and grit. The instructors are professional as well as supportive of every student. Highly recommend!
