Dance Theater of New England Reviews
My daughters have danced at Dance Theater of New England since 2018 and we are so thankful to have found a home here. We love all the faculty and staff and I know they care about my girls deeply. While many studios may feel like family, what sets DTNE apart is how much they care about the safety and well-being of my girls. They are being taught technique—not just to put on a show (a GREAT SHOW!) but to become stronger humans. The staff takes great care to teach proper form to protect against injuries. It takes a village to raise children, and I am incredibly thankful DTNE is part of our village.
Sep 07, 2024 · Kathryn PittsleyMy daughter has been attending DTNE since she was 4 years old. She has received excellent training from caring faculty who pay attention to her physical performance, growth and her spirit! They care about each and every dancer! In addition, the faculty are truly artists who create beautiful pieces for all ages and abilities in a wide range of dance styles. These are not just dance routines started in September! These students learn the art and craft of dance and work to improve their skills before beginning choreography. My daughter is 11 years old now and her team, at a National dance competition, won first place for overall highest score! The first thing they did when presented with the giant trophy bigger than them was proudly scream the name of the studio to all. From the owner on down to us parents, there is a sense of family and support for each other. Whether competitive dancing, or recreational fun, Dance Theater of New England is a wonderful place and as a mom who danced all her life unknowingly with bad habits, and thus suffering multiple injuries, I assure you, my daughter will be here for the long haul because she is getting the training any dancer deserves!
Aug 07, 2016 · Kelley BIMO, the teachers are great, the level of dance is great, the owner; however, is bias, plays favorites and does not treat her students fairly. Rules are set but only certain students must abide by them. The "favorite" students do not need to abide by those same rules. You can't blame the students, it's the owner that allows this to happen. She also does not have tact or respect for her students. She sees nothing wrong with announcing personal information to all, in front of all about a student without giving that student the dignity to hear information in private. There are other dance studios around which are run in a much more professional manner. Your experiences may not be the same as mine. I am posting my experience and after years of dedication to this studio, dedication means nothing.
