Ballet Hispánico & The Ballet Hispánico School

167 W 89th St, New York, NY 10024, USA

4.0
I don't know about the school, but I do know that the performers at Ballet Hispánico are extraordinary. Not sure when this happened because it didn't used to be the case. We saw Ballet Hispánico's Carmen.maquia at City Center and were blown away by the technical brilliance of the dancers, backed by passion and rage. The stark whiteness of the costumes and setting can be unnerving but the perfection of the dance makes the whiteness bearable. So happy to have this superb dance company in New York--and, amazingly enough, on the UWS. - Julia Vitullo-Martin
