Arthur Murray Dance Studio Prince Frederick Reviews
We are taking lessons here to help us with the first dance at our wedding.I have never danced before in my life and anticipated this would be so frustrating for me. After working with Sophie for 6 lessons, I am amazed at the progress and how much we have been able to learn so far. She is so reassuring and really pays attention to identify where you are getting stuck/how it can be alleviated. It is very obvious that she is passionate about dance but also about making sure you are comfortable and feel confident in what you are doing. As for the wedding portion, there’s been so much thought and consideration into the choreography, including: dress type, dance floor size, where the guests will be sitting, etc.I was originally on the fence about signing up but after working with Sophie and other crew at the studio, I highly recommend it!
Jun 27, 2025 · Jenn BPros:- The instructors McKayla, Troy, Matt, Angela & Harley are all outstanding! Their different focus's and strengths really help to round out our dancing.- The 3 free group classes every week really help us to up our game and reinforce all the things we learn in our private lesson.- The late evening and weekend hours support most modern hectic lifestyles.- The Prince Frederick location places it perfectly to support all of Southern MD.- It's an evening activity, indoors, in Southern MD, that doesn't solely revolve around food and drink.- It's a great hobby/skill set that can be developed and used for the rest of your life.Cons:- The Private lessons aren't cheap by most stretches of the imagination. If you book in bulk, take advantage of the introductory offer, and attend all of the group classes it lessons the blow, but it's still not a "cheap" date. I rationalize it as the cost of developing skills I've wanted to have my whole life as well as an activity both me and the Mrs can enjoy that is a healthy fun way to spend our evenings.- There is a column in the center of the studio...it's very easy to dance around and a bit of a running gag, but it seems a bit off when you first see the studio.
Jun 24, 2023 · Christopher LedwichI gifted my partner some lessons for his birthday and it was the best decision. We have learned so much over the past few months and are becoming so much more confident in dancing. The instructors are amazing and make learning so much fun. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Jun 26, 2024 · Amanda RhotenSuch a great experience! My fiancé and I worked with Mikayla and Harley. Both were great teachers who taught us a lot in two lessons for our wedding. They taught us many different dances and worked with us to figure out a first dance song. Overall it was a great experience.
