O’Connor Kennedy Academy of Irish Dance Reviews
The Riverside location is not worth attending. This academy is expensive and not worth the investment. It is a shame the owner of this studio does not provide the needed support to the Riverside location as there are not many locations close by. The teacher is great, passionate, talented, and committed, and there are quite a few students willing and wanting students and supportive parents to invest in the development skills for Irish dance. However, how can one teacher teach toddlers, young children, and older kids all at once? There are two - 14-year-olds in the same class and all on different levels. After three emails to the owner asking if I could help FOR FREE and/or if there were other options for classes, I received ZERO responses. As an Irish dancer for over 15 years, I would have loved to have helped. However, when I emailed to cancel after my fourth month of giving them another try, she responded immediately to let me know the cancellation policy is 45 days, which is crazy seeing as there are maybe ten minutes of instruction per class. If you have a 3-year-old and you'd like to pay $85 for them to run around, this is a great place. Otherwise, don't waste your time. Rude and unsupportive.
Apr 07, 2025 · Erin Ashley MurphyOne of the best schools in the US, led by some of the top Irish dance teachers today. When we left Chicago several years ago where our daughter danced with the world famous Trinity Irish Dancers, we were worried we couldn't find a top school out here in southern California. But we did - Butler Fearon O'Connor produces national and international Irish dance champions, year after year. And the kids have fun doing it together. In all, a great school.
