Vega Dance Lab Reviews
We recently attended our first show at Vega — a burlesque production called Fable — which reimagines the stories of beloved childhood characters, taking them "off script" and into real life. From the moment you walk through the door into the performance space (a dance studio), you're greeted by friendly faces and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There's a drinks and concessions stand open before the show and during intermission; I noticed they offered food as well, although I didn’t check it out closely. The performers and dancers were absolutely incredible, and the energy from the audience was electric, with engagement happening both onstage and in the aisles. There are flashing lights throughout the show (something to keep in mind for those sensitive to them), but overall, it’s a fantastic venue — one I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again.
Apr 29, 2025 · Scott MazariegosI have taken 3 Burly Q classes here with Evie with zero dance experience and they have not been at all what I expected!I am a highly anxious person who thought that taking a class to feel sexy and empowered would be good for me. I was not expecting such a fast paced class full of incredible talent and real no bullsh*t teaching style.I absolutely love it, and feel like it’s what I’ve been missing in this city. The intensity of the class inspires me to work harder and practice more than if I had just jumped into something that made me look/feel awesome right away. There wouldn’t be much to learn if that was the case.I also love the way Evie handles the class and her assertive energy. 3 classes flailing around and yet I’m already acting more assertive in my every day life.10/10, love the studio so far.
Sep 17, 2024 · Andi ReederMy adult daughter and I took our first class here last night. We took Jazz with Mariah. It was really fun! Everyone at the studio was super kind and encouraging. The other dancers were all very supportive. This place just had an overall great vibe. Will definitely be back!
Mar 12, 2024 · EriCa QuinnI'd suggest this place if you have some background/experience. I took a class for a style of dance I've always been interested in and it felt like the instructor really went out of their way to make sure I didn't feel welcome. Took all my enthusiasm out of it, very disappointing experience for sure. Seems like there's some great people who go here and hopefully instructors who are a little more friendly and don't want to end someone's passion for something. Made me feel like an idiot for even trying.
