Urban Movement Arts Reviews
I've been going for a few weeks now and have had a great experience! All the class instructors are friendly and the classes themselves are a great workout. There's also a good amount of variety and I like being able to try different classes easily. As someone completely new to dance, I've been especially enjoying the introductory DIP series led by Vince - he's been fantastic so far in patiently teaching everyone moves, offering positive encouragement and helping people who may be struggling with a move during class.Would highly recommend UMA at 8th st, particularly as a beginner dancer.
Mar 17, 2024 · Harsha KollaGo there people! I've been going to urban movement arts for probably 5 years now. This is their shiny new location!First, it's a welcoming community, I always make friends there. And for the dance class quality, well, I wasn't a dancer when I started, and now I feel like one. They'll help you wherever you're at so that you can make progress. All the teachers are amazing dancers and are sweet, focused and well prepared. Many classes focus on drills and freestyle which I love, because choreo is not my thing (read : I'm bad at it). So u choose what u like!Ps : they are affordable too, yay.
