Tango Berretin Reviews
A wonderful group of people, absolutely enjoyable and the beginner lesson on Saturday night was amazing!! Definitely recommend!!
Jul 06, 2025 · Casey CowartI visited here MANY years ago -maybe 50! smile. It was awhile ago anyway ; ) I want to visit again! YES too long (since before the ‘plague’) that I danced! It’s hard to consider dancing again; I’ve lost so much time but I recall this space as warm, welcoming and friendly! And the physical space is also very engaging / ‘bohemian-cool’….and just so perfect 😍
Mar 13, 2025 · Mary AvalonThis is THE place to go for anything tango related in Portland (in Oregon, and arguably in the country)! The studio itself is full of character and serves as a monument to Argentine Tango dance, music, and culture. Tango Berretin has regular tango dance lessons, parties (called milongas), and occasionally live tango music. Alex, who runs Tango Berretin is a great teacher, musician, and all around good guy! I can't recommend this place enough for anyone who has an interest in Argentine Tango!
Nov 25, 2023 · Hong LeeThis was a fun night out. My wife and I went to the class and it was great for beginners. Met folks with all kinds of experience and everyone was great about teaching tango. They had free snacks too which was nice after the dancing. I'd recommend trying the class if you haven't done it before
Jun 11, 2023 · Elijah SteinbauerReally gorgeous venue. Love the dance floor, and generally the decor and vibes are always so lovely, and facilitate some really beautiful dance. I also really love having the separate rooms with couches for conversations and hangouts! Very grateful to have such a stellar venue available for Portland's dance community
