Pointe Dance Studio Introduce
For families in Pennsylvania, particularly those in the Roslyn area and surrounding communities in Montgomery County, Pointe Dance Studio offers an opportunity for young dancers to pursue their passion for movement. Located conveniently in Roslyn, this studio provides a structured environment where students can engage in various dance styles. Under the direction of Ms. Cherelle, Pointe Dance Studio aims to provide training that prepares students for performances and instills discipline in their craft.
At Pointe Dance Studio, the emphasis is placed on professional instruction and organized training. The studio strives to ensure that students are well-trained and that their performances reflect this dedication. While the goal is to provide a positive learning experience, the studio acknowledges that different perspectives can arise. One parent shared a very positive experience, stating, "This is my daughter's second year at The Pointe and I do not feel that there is any favoritism and neither does she. She would know first hand since she spends the most time there. Ms Cherelle is very professional and runs this dance school in a very organized way. The students are well trained and the performances show this. They are exposed to highly trained and qualified instructors and choreographers. I only wish that I knew about this dance school before now. By the way, we travel 45min to an 1hr twice a week for rehearsals. And if she wanted to do more, I would do my best to get her there." This highlights a commitment to rigorous training and visible results in performances, even attracting families who commute a significant distance.
However, another perspective from a former student described a less positive experience, citing issues with professionalism, perceived favoritism towards "old girls," and a lack of diversity in choreography and team dynamics, stating, "Honestly If I could give this dance school 0 stars I would. I was a student there for a few months after I made it to the majorette competition team and I did not have a good experience. The people there are not professional and are RUDE! And I would not recommend you go there. They only put the same old girls in every dance and exclud the new girls. They never gave any one a chance. They would yell ALOT if you were not a old girl that has been going there for years. The dance company itself is very disorganized. The girls at the dance school are mean! They would body shame, and make fun of other kids. The majorette team does the same moves and has no diversity. They have also never won a competition. And the simply don’t know how to be a team. This company is not worth your TIME or MONEY! And I don’t think you should enroll you kid in this particular dance school." This contrasting review suggests that prospective families should consider all aspects and perhaps visit or take a trial class to assess if the studio's environment aligns with their personal values and expectations.
