New Paradigm Dance Theater Reviews
I had the pleasure of dancing with New Paradigm Dance Theater this year, and I simply cannot say enough good things about this organization. Its leaders are dedicated to prolonging dance careers and making dance a wholly positive, fun addition to one’s life rather than a stressor, a cause of physical or mental distress, etc. All of their work goes into producing top quality art while maintaining a community of healthy, happy dancers who are accepting of one another and embrace the opportunity to train and perform in this art form.New Paradigm is truly unique. Having grown up with the directors from age five, I can confidently say that this is where you want your children, your friends, your community members- finding their way in dance. They create a pathway for everyone to feel included, respected, challenged, supported, and encouraged. In more than 13 years of knowing Artistic Directors Julia and Chris, they have taught me discipline, strong empathy and compassion, fierce curiosity and love for the art form, and they have instilled in me a passion for serving communities for the greater good. That is what NPDT is doing, that is why NPDT is more than a dance company.

Feb 03, 2025 · Meredith McCannTHIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. If you are at all thinking about putting your kid in dance, dancing yourself, or looking for a new studio, this is the place. Both of my daughters are students here and are THRIVING. Julia and Chris provide a safe and accommodating space for dancers of all types, ages, and skills. And of top of that, they are both incredibly talented and knowledgeable themselves - focusing on health, body positivity, and form. Stop in and they're likely to give you a free class!
Feb 12, 2025 · Cameron RosénDancing with NPDT has been life-changing for me. It is hard, as an adult dancer who is in no way, shape, or form a professional, to find places that will welcome you into their performances; NPDT goes out of their way to make adult performers feel at home. Nutcracker Reimagined was my first Nutcracker at 47, and it was the most fun! I’m excited to see what else our adult company can accomplish.
