Missy's Movement Reviews
Missy and Mr. Alex are overall wonderful..friendly, kind, patient, creative, etc! My son (7YO) LOVES the breaking/hip hop classes. He's been taking them for 4 months now and never wants to stop. So glad we found MM, it has been a fantastic fit for our family. I also enjoy the Move & Groove classes for adults. Doesn't matter your skill level, they meet you where you are.Definitely, highly, and strongly recommend!!
Feb 08, 2025 · Ellen McNultyWe found Missy’s Movement during COVID while looking for an outdoor class for our 4 and 2 year olds. The classes are fun, engaging, and safe! Masks and distance are required with no exceptions so we feel comfortable allowing our children to participate to get all the benefits that dance can offer. Melissa has been so accommodating to our family’s needs and is so welcoming. We look forward to both outdoor and indoor classes for both our children in years to come.
Apr 16, 2021 · Shannon FarringtonI have nothing but wonderful things to say about Missy's Movement. I knew after attending the open house in the summer of 2019 that it was a warm, welcoming, student-focused studio and a great fit for my daughter. That proved to be true as she learned elements of ballet, tap, hip hop, and creative movement throughout the year. It was obvious that Miss Missy cared deeply about each of her students, and was adept at cultivating and encouraging a love of dance. When Covid shut things down, Melissa went above and beyond to continue to connect with her dancers, to support our families, and to help us all cope with what was happening in the world through movement, music, and dance. At a time when businesses were closed, she offered *more* options to us all, with chances to dance with peers and family members, talk, and draw through zoom sessions nearly every day of the week. She was a friendly familiar face, a constant at a time when our kids' school year abruptly ended without goodbyes for teachers or classmates. And then, when we weren't comfortable dancing inside, she offered outdoor sessions even on frigid winter weekends, not only for previous students, but for new dancers who she had never seen without masks covering their smiles. As we inch closer to "normalcy," I hope that Missy's Movement continues to grow and that she has the opportunity to connect with more little ones in our surrounding communities — building their confidence and inspiring a lifelong love of dance and movement. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Miss Missy, for all you do!
Sep 27, 2021 · Jennifer BeniaminoI have been searching high and low for a dance program like this! I can't believe Missy's Movement just fell into my lap one day! The tuition is an absolute steal, there are a variety of days/times/types of dance, it's so much fun and laid back while also educational. My daughter tells me every night before dance class that I'm the best mom for signing her up and honestly that alone is worth every penny. I highly recommend this dance program to any parent looking for a fun and stress free extra curricular activity. Thanks Missy!!
