Hamburg Dance Center Reviews
I danced at HDC for a long time and graduated recently. Overall, it was a great experience. The teachers care about the students and will help you if you're struggling with a dance step or need assistance. It's not overly expensive, which must be nice for the parents, the location in the village is pretty easy to find, and a class is only an hour long once a week. The studio however is very small, which bothers me as a dancer since I like my space. It could be frustrating if you're in that room with sixteen other people.
Mar 18, 2024 · Ashton Skye GorlewskiOur 3 (now 4) year old started dance this year with the Hamburg Dance Center. Our experience has overall been fantastic, and will be students for however long our daughter desires to dance. Pricing for classes is EXTREMELY reasonable, cheaper than any classes I’ve found in the south towns, the studio is new and always extremely well kept, location is convenient for a bakery treat after class, AND the instructor has been wonderful with our kiddo. I can’t imagine that it is easy to wrangle 10 toddlers in any environment, but Mrs. F manages to keep everyone’s attention and make it fun. 1000% will recommend Hamburg Dance Center to anyone looking for a dance studio.

Jan 04, 2023 · Kristin HowieTerrible experience all around. The instructor was rude and disrespectful to the children in the class. She had difficulty with patience. She talked non-stop, but didn't give clear instructions and wasn't helpful in her teaching. She made sarcastic remarks and used scare tactics to get the children to comply. It was a chaotic and negative environment, not at all conducive to learning. The curriculum seemed well planned, but the instructor didn't want to take the time to actually teach, she just barked orders and expected the children to immediately know what to do. Aside from that, they only accept cash payment, and, as a person who rarely has cash on me it was a pain to remember. If you forget, there's no courtesy, it's an automatic $5 charge - I think they bank on people forgetting (literally). I'm honestly not sure what we were even paying for given the terrible experience.
