Culver City Academy of Ballet Reviews
We are so thankful to have found CCAB and my daughter loves it there. After dancing on and off for years at different ballet schools, CCAB is our favorite! Michelle is gifted, knowledgeable and cares about each student individually and their development. The same can be said of the other instructors as well. My daughter has improved there in ways she was plateauing at other schools, and she has developed an even greater love for ballet. Her motivation, technique and dedication have sky rocketed since joining the school less than a year ago. We're looking forward to continuing growing there and see where ballet takes us!
Aug 16, 2024 · Isabelle SmithCCAB is a world class ballet academy. The class sizes are small, unlike most other studios, allowing for dedicated and personalized instruction to all the students. The teachers, all of whom are professionally trained, give personal attention to the students and there’s a true sense of camaraderie amongst the students and faculty. The owner of the studio, Michelle DeAngelis, is a professional ballerina who has dedicated a lot of love, hard work, and effort in creating a unique and exquisite program for her students. My daughter has been training under Michelle for years and will not even consider another ballet school, despite our distance from the studio. We make the trek multiple times through the week and it’s well worth our time and effort. The supportive and encouraging environment is one that my daughter thrives in and that is a testament to Michelle and the other faculty.I highly recommend CCAB for high level classical ballet instruction in a truly supportive dance community.
Jul 22, 2024 · Tania KaprealianCCAB is the best ballet school for young dancers on the west side of LA! Michelle is the most caring, hands-on teacher with such an impressive professional dance background. She not only has so much wisdom to pass on, but she truly creates such a positive environment and helps to nurture each child’s love of dance. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to send my kids!
Jul 24, 2024 · Hannah FreemanWe love Michelle (and all of her teachers) and CCAB. The studio is warm and welcoming, and the kids are supportive of each other. Michelle is very patient and kind and really takes the time to try to get to know each child at her school. My oldest daughter started at CCAB’s sister school Michelle’s Ballet Academy about a year and a half ago. She loved ballet (from pre-covid times) and wanted to take class but was frustrated by her experience at a previous studio, which initially spilled over to her experience at Michelle’s. I let Michelle know what was going on, and she immediately took time to speak to and work with my daughter to make her feel comfortable at the studio. Afterwards, my daughter felt confident enough to participate in her first dance recital, which then sparked an increased commitment to her ballet practice. Michelle noticed this change and invited my daughter to join the pre-professional program. I have seen a huge growth in my daughter’s confidence in the past year and a half and a lot of it has to do with her experience at this amazing studio. I can’t recommend CCAB enough.

CCAB offers a nurturing environment led by highly qualified, classically trained teachers who genuinely care about their students.Michelle DeAngelis makes a conscious effort to keep class sizes small - unlike other studios where the class rosters are massive and students get lost in the shuffle. Michelle knows every student by name and understands their unique strengths and areas for improvement. She takes the time to connect with them, celebrating their milestones and providing constructive feedback that encourages growth. This level of personal attention has transformed my daughter’s confidence and passion for ballet. She’s grown and flourished at CCAB in ways I never expected. The emphasis on classical training paired with a warm, supportive community makes CCAB a very special place to be. I am so grateful for the positive impact CCAB has had on my daughter’s journey as a ballerina, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
