Opera Block Performing Arts Center Reviews
Joining the Opera Block Performing Arts Center has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our child. From the very first class, it was clear that this studio is something special. The instructors are not only incredibly talented and professional, but they’re also nurturing, supportive, and truly passionate about helping each dancer grow. The environment at Opera Block is both inspiring and inclusive. My child has gained so much more than just dance skills—confidence, discipline, friendships, and a real sense of belonging. The attention to technique and performance quality is top-tier, but what makes it exceptional is the heart and care that go into every class and performance. We’ve watched our child thrive artistically and personally since joining, and we’re so grateful to be part of such a positive, empowering community. Opera Block isn’t just a studio—it’s a second home.
May 20, 2025 · Jenna PerezBoth my kids were enrolled in classes at Opera Block all year. We tried them out last summer and we all agreed, my kids wanted to join. But they handled things pretty poorly for their recital for a few kids, not all of them, only a few and you can guess, mine was one. I addressed it with the Owner and he took no accountability for how they handled things or how it made the kids feel or the parents of these kids. Placed blame on staff, volunteers and the students. So I pulled my kids out of their program. I can totally understand miscommunications and mistakes being made but the exchanges I had with the owner solidified my decision to pull my kids. The teachers and volunteers are amazing and the dancers are even more amazing. If I could rate them all 5 stars, they get 10. Both my kids learned so much from them, but I require safe spaces for my kids and myself and it is clear that is not one. We will miss all the amazing dancers and staff. Wishing them all the best. But we are moving on and that is why. We have already found a space that has welcomed us with open arms in a neighboring town.Problem solved for us all.
