Conclusion: Why Children's Dance Theater - Auburn location is Suitable for Locals
For families in the Washington region, particularly those in Auburn, Children's Dance Theater - Auburn location presents itself as a local performing arts center aiming to provide dance education for young individuals. The studio has cultivated a reputation among some of its long-term patrons as a place where "it feels like a second family," indicative of a strong sense of community and inclusivity. For instance, one parent highlighted that their daughter has attended since 2015, describing it as a "very positive experience for both of us" and praising the staff for being "very inclusive of everyone" and "friendly and welcoming." Such feedback underscores the studio's effort to create a nurturing environment where children feel at home and communication is "amazing." The opportunity for students to participate in significant productions like "The Nutcracker" also provides invaluable performance experience, which is a key draw for many local families seeking comprehensive dance training.
However, it is crucial for prospective local users to consider all available feedback. A "Concerned Parent" shared a "disappointing experience" regarding the "quality of instruction." This review noted "limited" instruction time, an instructor "spending most of the time simply observing" rather than actively teaching or correcting, and classes frequently starting late and ending early. The parent expressed concern about "time and money being wasted" and felt that "children come to class to learn proper dance techniques, not just to pass the time." This feedback suggests that while the community aspect and larger productions are strengths, the day-to-day instructional quality can vary, and this is a significant factor for families investing in dance education.
Given this mixed feedback, Children's Dance Theater - Auburn location is suitable for locals who prioritize a family-like, inclusive atmosphere and significant performance opportunities like "The Nutcracker," and who might also be proactive in communicating their expectations regarding instructional engagement. Its central location in Auburn also makes it highly convenient for area residents. However, families in Washington seeking rigorous, consistent, and highly attentive technical instruction for their children might want to inquire further about class structure and teacher-student interaction before committing, ensuring the studio's teaching approach aligns with their specific educational goals.

Children's Dance Theater-Auburn location Reviews
Disappointing Experience!I want to share my concerns about the quality of instruction at this dance school. I have noticed that the instructor does not pay enough attention to the class. Instruction time is very limited, and instead of actively teaching or correcting students, the instructor spends most of the time simply observing. Many children perform movements incorrectly, yet there is little to no guidance provided.Additionally, classes often start late and end 5-7 minutes early. Given the school’s reputation, we make the effort to bring our children after a long day of work, expecting high-quality dance instruction. However, it feels like both our time and money are being wasted when instructors are not fully engaged with the students. We are not receiving the value we paid for.If an instructor is not feeling well or unable to teach properly, it would be more responsible for them to take time off rather than providing minimal instruction. Children come to class to learn proper dance techniques, not just to pass the time. They deserve engaged and attentive teaching.I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to ensure students receive the instruction they deserve.— A Concerned Parent
Feb 28, 2025 · C CMy daughter has attended Children’s Dance Theater since 2015. It has always been a very positive experience for both of us. The studio staff is very inclusive of everyone. It feels like a second family. We recently wrapped up The Nutcracker and it couldn’t have gone better. Communication is amazing. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. CDT seriously feels like a second home.
Dec 12, 2023 · Jenyka HayesMy granddaughter just started taking dance this year. She is 3 and absolutely loves it. She counts down the days until Tuesday. I've seen so much improvement in her from the first day she entered the doors. I predict we are a dance family now!
Feb 12, 2025 · Laminda JohnstoneOur family has had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and students at Children’s Dance Theater. My 2 girls have always felt encouragement from their dance teachers and absolutely love the time they have spent at their classes, summer camps, and Nutcracker rehearsals. Every interaction I have witnessed there has been positive and has come from a place of love. We will continue to go to Children’s Dance until my girls are done with dance and we are always recommending them to everyone and singing their praises.
Dec 12, 2023 · Katie FinchMy oldest daughter has always loved dance, in 2018 we decided to enroll her at Children’s Dance Theater (CDT). The classes were so fun and engaging that my son also joined soon after watching his sister in class. Since starting at CDT my kids have never looked back, it has truly become their second home away from home where they continue to learn more than just dance. Commitment, hard work, friendships, acceptance and they just plain love it at CDT. Beyond dance for all ages and skills, CDT also offers some amazing camps, a Nutcracker production, a spring ballet production, theater programs, art programs and more. Highly recommend this studio!
