Ballet Arts Center for Dance, NYC Reviews
Ballet is NOT only for ladies! Being an adult male with no prior ballet experience, I was struck by its artistry and had always wanted to try it. Fast forward, took quite a few classes in NYC and while travelling for work internationally and liked Simon’s teaching style the best.He is straightforward, NO BS!! Not wasting time speaking in analogies like the class for kids. Men in his class are usually given a modified jump/turning combination focusing on strength, power and precise muscle control. He is full of energy and is enthusiastic to give men-specific corrections that inspires and motivate me to put in 100%!

Sep 29, 2024 · Emily SNo matter your level of preparation, at Ballet Arts you will not only find the best teachers, from absolute beginner classes to professional ones, but also a great, supportive and inspiring community! Plus Stephen, the owner, is a sweetheart! This place is my happy place in NY ❤
Jul 26, 2023 · Chiara De CaroliThe best is Richard Marsden. I can’t stress enough what a phenomenal teacher he is. He’s a true technician who makes you work methodically, intelligent, and to have a keen eye and sense of awareness with movement. He is a true master of his craft. He is passionate, kind and caring, and also honest but does it from a place of support and love. He is a genius!
Jan 07, 2024 · Martin BonventreWhat a lovely experience. I was recommended this studio and, while in New York, I went for it! I took Antoinette’s class and it was truly inspiring, with a great balance of hard work and musicality. I felt very welcome! The woman in the reception was friendly and the overall energy felt uplifting and safe. The classroom is really spacious and with a natural light that doesn’t give you a headache! Definitely coming back whenever I’m back in New York!!
