The studio's location on West 31st Street, between Broadway and Fifth Avenue, means it benefits from Manhattan's unparalleled public transportation network. It is just a few blocks away from major transportation hubs, including Penn Station (for Amtrak, Long Island Rail Road, and New Jersey Transit) and Herald Square, which serves a multitude of subway lines. Key subway lines within very close walking distance include the 1, 2, 3, A, C, E, B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, W trains at various nearby stations (34th Street-Herald Square, 34th Street-Penn Station, 28th Street). Adelante Studios positions itself as a versatile rental space, offering its facilities for a broad range of creative and event-based needs rather than fixed, ongoing classes. While the name might hint at yoga, its primary 'services' are the provision of rentable studio spaces.
Studio Rentals for Photography Shoots: Adelante Studios offers dedicated spaces suitable for professional photography, catering to various types of shoots, including fashion, portraits, product photography, and more. The studios are designed to accommodate equipment and setups required for high-quality imagery.
Studio Rentals for Video Productions: The versatile nature of the spaces makes them suitable for video shoots, including music videos, commercials, interviews, and short films. The size of the studios can accommodate various lighting and camera setups.
Event Space Rentals: The studios are also available for rent as event spaces. This could include workshops, seminars, small conferences, art exhibitions, or private gatherings that require an open and adaptable floor plan.
Flexible Booking Options: While not explicitly detailed, studios typically offer hourly, half-day, or full-day booking options to accommodate different project lengths and budgets. However, as noted in customer reviews, longer-term or larger bookings might be prioritized.
Yoga/Dance Class Space (as a rental): While not a dedicated yoga studio offering its own classes, the spaces could potentially be rented by independent yoga instructors, dance teachers, or fitness professionals to host their own classes or workshops. This versatility allows for a broad spectrum of uses.
Basic Amenities: As a rental studio, they generally provide essential amenities such as restrooms and potentially basic waiting areas or changing rooms, as described in one review.
Capacity for Groups: The studios are capable of accommodating groups, ranging from small production teams to larger gatherings, though specific capacity limits are enforced and should be confirmed at the time of booking.
Adelante Studios' key features and highlights primarily revolve around its physical space and its adaptability for various production and event needs in a prime Manhattan location.
Prime Midtown Manhattan Location: Situated on West 31st Street, the studio boasts an exceptionally central and accessible location. This is a major highlight for clients, models, and teams who rely on convenient access via New York City's extensive public transportation network. Its central position makes it desirable for attracting talent and attendees.
Spacious and Versatile Studios: Adelante offers large, adaptable studio spaces that can be utilized for a wide array of purposes. Reviews mention a "huge space" and "Studio 3," suggesting multiple rooms. This versatility allows for different setups for photography, video, or events, catering to diverse creative and professional needs. The vacant space, even when a smaller group was present, indicates generous room for maneuver.
Suitable for Various Production Needs: The studios are well-suited for professional photoshoots and video productions. The ability to accommodate lighting setups, stylists, makeup artists, and models within a dedicated space is a significant advantage for production teams.
Adaptable for Events and Classes: Beyond standard production, the flexible nature of the studios means they can be transformed for various events, workshops, or even regular classes like yoga or dance, depending on the renter's needs.
Basic Amenities Provided: The presence of accessible bathrooms and a developing "lobby area" (even if initially impromptu) suggests that basic client comforts are considered within the studio setup.
Potential for Long-Term Bookings: While a point of contention for some, the studio's preference for "a full month" or "5-week booking" highlights its capacity and willingness to accommodate longer-term projects, which can be a valuable feature for certain clients.
Second-Floor Location: Being on the second floor provides some separation from street-level noise, which can be beneficial for recording sound during video shoots, although specific soundproofing is not mentioned.

Adelante Studios Reviews
Had a booking paid for 2 months in advance. 10 days prior they said they could no longer honor our booking because someone wanted to rent the space for a full month. We had to scramble to find a replacement. They said..and I quote, " What would you do in our shoes? Say no to a 5 week booking of our full floor to maintain a 5 hour booking of one shoot space?" So book with them, but have a back up in case they get a better offer...
Feb 14, 2017 · Kimberly SmithI was a hair model for a photo shoot at this studio on 11/20/2016 and arrived at 12:40 pm for a 1 pm start since my call sheet read arrive by 12:45 pm. The place was jam packed with a group of Asian men, women and children (some in strollers), maybe 50 people.I inquired of the older man handling the bookings about where to wait and he said to sit in the lobby, although there was no lobby. Later an orange sofa and a chair were brought from a closed room into what I became the lobby area. I waited there with people from the music video shoot. The large group filed out as others arrived for our hair shoot as well as a music video shoot.By 1 pm the studio had cleared out with the exception of the people waiting for the hair shoot and the music video. The music video group ended up leaving since they couldn't shoot at the same time as the hair model shoot. The huge space was vacant with the exception of the people at my shoot, 2 stylists, the photographer, 2 makeup artists and models. We were in studio 3, across from the bathrooms on the second floor. The man running the bookings came over to tell the stylists that the booking was for only 9 people so someone had to leave. They asked about paying for an extra person and he wasn't receptive. I wasn't needed until 2 pm so I was asked to leave.I came back later and while I was having my hair styled, the guy came back over to make a scene about another model who arrived (around 3 pm) making the count at 10. The 2 stylists who booked the studio walked over to the reception area to speak with him and he was loud and rude. I heard him asked "is she empowered to speak" since one stylist had been doing all of the talking. I later heard him say "I don't think you understand math" after they offered, again, to pay for the 10th person. He threatened to shut down the shoot despite models being in the midst of hair and makeup. He refused to allow payment for an extra person despite the space being vacant with the exception of our group. He did allow payment for an extra hour, until 6 pm. There was no fire code issue. with respect to the 10th person. He was rude and difficult to deal with for no apparent reason. He ruined the vibe of what had been a fun photo shoot to help launch the website of the stylists.I would never recommend this studio based on how the customers were treated. I've already told my husband, who books studios for his artists for photos and videos, not to ever use this studio. There are far too many other options in NYC to put up with this kind of behavior from a service provider.
Nov 21, 2016 · Katrina RaineyPictures look nice but today 2/9/19 walk fashion show had a casting here. There was enormous line outside and models were asked to wear hills and tank tops outside for hours during this freeze. There was a guy with black hat, very unprofessional, disorganized and answering aggressively to models questions. After waiting for a while me with some models decided to leave.I’ve done lots of castings and shows before and none of them were this extreme! You have to sacrifice a little and maybe suffer for success, but this was too much.I think he was accepting everyone and the quality of all this became questionable for me.

Sep 08, 2023 · Mark MoshchinskyWatch out for these dishonest peopleLike Nicholas at this company who is nice to you and polite until they collect your money. Then will try to weasel their way out of honoring their agreement with you by trying to show some vague line in a contract that they themselves do not adhere to.this guy took my money, deposit for an event and then the event is not even yet, he decided to cancel the event, keep my deposit that i now have to file a PayPal claim to recover.these people are thieves by way of making promises they cannot or refuse to keep.Stay way and work with people who mean what they say and willing to work with you for the money you are paying to them.
