LetsBellyDance Reviews
If I had to pick five words that describe taking a belly dance class with Sara, I would start with warm, welcoming, experienced, organized, knowledgeable, and FUN!. (Oh wait, that's six!) Sara's great with absolute beginners, or more experienced dancers like me. I'm so fortunate that I can continue coaching sessions long distance. I especially enjoy learning her choreographies and I am so impressed with her ability to find performance opportunities for her student troupes. A+++
Apr 29, 2021 · Dawn DevineI did a Bristol workshop with Sara in 2018 when I was visiting the UK. It was a fab open-level Shaabi choreography paired with a workshop on dancing authentically from your heart using your experiences and real feelings. I enjoyed it so much, I performed the Shaabi choreo back home in Australia in 2019, and 2020, and with Sara’s kind permission, taught it in 2021. Sara is a generous teacher who’s sunny personality makes everyone feel welcome. I also have the book she co-authored, it’s a great resource that I often recommend.
May 01, 2021 · Sue ColesI took a beginning belly dance course with Sara. I had taken a beginning course before with another instructor, and Sara was able to make sure there were still new things for me to learn and work on each class beyond the very basics. She was incredibly welcoming, encouraging, and very good at teaching and engaging each of my classmates. This was one of the most fun things I've done, and I wish I still lived in a place she offers classes, so I could continue taking them. She's also incredibly knowledgeable about its history, culture, and performance. I highly recommend Sara for anyone wishing to advance their belly dance skills!
Apr 29, 2021 · Waverly RoegerI love this belly dance class with Sara Shrapnell. It's alot of fun. She is a friendly and fun instructor. I have been attending for 4 months now and plan on attending many more. In my first 8 weeks of class I was able to dance at an event. It's a great way to feel confident and it's my happy place. So glad I joined her classes.
Apr 29, 2022 · Rose BartellSara has the patience of a Saint.I attended my first class with her in 2003, at a school in Basingstoke, England. She taught us simple routines, with a few basic moves, to start off with, we soon felt we had achieved something, within a couple of weeks. Sara used to stage Haflas (shows), in front of other belly dancing groups, which encouraged us and gave us confidence.I am 66 years old now and still enjoy belly dancing, I hope you will enjoy Sara's classes and performances as much as I did and still do x
