Urban Movement Arts Reviews
I love this place. They have great classes that are beginner and intermediate friendly. The instructors are incredible, patient, knowledgeable, and very fun. I was a bit nervous in the beginning because I had never taken any dance classes before in my life. The teachers create and maintain classes that are challenging enough for intermediate dancers, as well as beginners. I really really love this studio and cannot recommend it enough for others. They also offer the first month at a super low price. That was enough of a non-commitment to encourage me to start. This place has truly become a home for me. Thank you guys for being so sweet and welcoming.
Jul 28, 2022 · Cin WengI was visiting from out of town for a few months and had a great experience here. The studio is very welcoming, no matter what your age or experience level is. Vince is an amazing teacher and does a great job of breaking difficult dance moves down to make them more accessible. Really fun place!
Dec 24, 2023 · Miriam EckertThis is by far the best dance studio I've ever been to! They have a wide variety of classes with a particularly deep focus on street styles and African diaspora genres. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and know how to teach to the room. There are classes for all levels, but even the advanced classes are welcoming and supportive. I am constantly recommending this studio to friends and acquaintances. In the year since I've been coming to this studio, my understanding of rhythm and groove, my fitness, and my overall dancing have improved so much. I recommend this studio for experienced dancers and people who have never set foot in a dance class; and for those who feel any kind of intimidation, the teachers and community of Urban Movement Arts will alleviate all of those feelings! Honestly, I could give this studio a higher review.
Dec 06, 2018 · Amalia Wiatr LewisI took Vince’s beginner House class for the first time and it was great! He spent time going over the body mechanics and broke down the movement to make it very digestible. The pacing was great and had a lot of fun. Highly recommend :)
Feb 21, 2024 · Angela YangI took the Open Level House dance class with Vince. Having no experience with this style of dance, I felt that Vince did a good job of breaking down moves and creating a relaxed environment. I would definitely recommend taking a class at this studio!
