Many families express profound satisfaction with their experience at The Origin. One parent shared, "My daughter loves dancing hip hop and when we found Origin she found more than a dance studio...she found a home. She absolutely loves her team and directors. My daughter looks up to her instructors and has received amazing opportunities from them. It's been great to see my daughter grow and excel in Origin. However, it is important to acknowledge that like any organization, experiences can vary, and some feedback indicates areas for improvement. A critical review mentioned concerns about the competitive team program, describing it as a "money pit" with issues of favoritism, disorganization, and last-minute changes for competitions. This customer felt that "they do not give everyone a fair shot" and ultimately switched to another crew despite losing money. Such feedback underscores the challenges that can arise within competitive programs and highlights the importance of clear communication, fair treatment, and robust organization for all participants. While the positive testimonials speak to the academy's strengths in nurturing talent and building community, the critical feedback indicates that prospective families should inquire thoroughly about the specifics of competitive team commitments and management to ensure it aligns with their expectations.

Jun 18, 2025 · Audrey ReyesMoney pit. They charged over 2k for a year in advance for the competitive team. Then they play favorites. They do not give everyone a fair shot. They are the most disorganized crew also. They were making changes the day of the competition. We have been with a crew before we moved to SD and immediately realized how bad Origin was. We switched even though we lost out on the 2k+. The new crew is significantly better. More organized, more fair and the communication is clear.I rarely give a bad review. Check my other reviews to verify. This one was just that bad. They are just trying to grab money from most while they showcase only their favorite few.
