The North Augusta School of Dance Reviews
It took me a lot of thought before posting this. We have given NASD two tries for our daughter who is now 4. The classes seem very robotic. The instructor, while nice enough just appears to not want to be there. There is no warmth with the littles and there are a lot of "timeouts" used for other kids that I have seen. The timeouts seem to be for things that are developmently appropriate in my opinion. The recital this year also felt like such a disappointment. It was cute, but every single 4 year old class did basically the same moves with one or two things different just to different music. I know competition teams are where the money is, but pouring at least a little love and thought into the babies makes them and the parents feel good and want to continue dance. I can say the studio is very clean, feels safe and the productions of the older girls seem good, but I just don't think it's a good fit for the smaller girls. I wish it could have been a more positive experience for us.
May 26, 2025 · Megan GrayWe LOVE NASD! My daughter has been taking for 6 years now and loves every minute of it. The staff is amazing and very supportive. They have picked my daughter up and encouraged her every step of the way. She has come out of class crying because it was to hard. The teachers would sit with her until she felt better and promised her she would get the skill. The studio does not put up with drama or bullying. The North Augusta School of Dance is an excellent place to send your child because they are more then just a dance studio.
Mar 05, 2021 · Kari MorrisWe absolutely LOVE North Augusta School of Dance! My 4 year old dancer has been there almost 2 years has has learned so much! I love that the teachers not only teach them dance but so much more too! The rates are very affordable as well! They are very COVID safe so I appreciate that so much! We are really happy with our decision to have my daughter here :)
Mar 03, 2021 · Leslie EnfingerAs an instructor, I’ve always been treated really well by owner and colleagues at NASD. They care about each individual, students or teachers. Teaching dance to kids of course is what they do but they also teach them values that they will carry their whole life and use in and out of the “dance world”. I am proud to say that The North Augusta School of Dance quickly became my second family and I love everyone there!
