For our youngest dancers, we offer specialized "Itty Bitty & K-2nd" classes, Creative Movement (ages 2-3), "Dance With Me" (parent-and-me for 18 months - 2 years), "Preschool Dance" (ages 3-5), "Mini Dance" (ages 4-6), and "Tot Hop" (ages 3-5), ensuring age-appropriate engagement and skill introduction. As one review states, "No matter your experience, all are welcome!" and the studio "will help you grow into the dancer you want to be."
- Recreational and Competitive Opportunities: For those who love to dance and enjoy the art form without the intensive commitment, recreational classes are available. For dancers seeking more advanced training and performance opportunities, the competitive company (ages 8 and up) and Mini Company (ages 9 and under) are audition-based programs with commitments to regional and national competitions. The all-star program (ages 5-18) combines the athletic side of dance team with studio training, competing in Jazz and Pom at the national level.
- Dedicated and Talented Instructors: The teaching staff, including beloved instructors like "Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Bree, Mr. Jon and Mrs. Michelle," are consistently praised for their passion, expertise, and supportive approach. They are committed to pushing dancers out of their comfort zones to become "confident, mature and self-expressing young artists."
- Performance and Growth Opportunities: Students in both recreational and competitive programs gain invaluable stage experience. Recreational classes perform in the annual spring recital, while company and all-star dancers have more frequent opportunities at competitions and conventions. This focus on performance helps improve confidence and abilities, as noted by a parent who "has been great watching each girl learn and grow. Their confidence and abilities have drastically improved."

Jun 06, 2023 · Natasha MoranMy daughters have attended since the studio opened and they love MPDC. They have both grown as dancers tremendously over the years due to the training and opportunities given by the staff. They have built close relationships with all of the other dancers, teachers, staff, and studio owners. It is their 2nd family and they would never want to dance anywhere else.
Jun 06, 2023 · Tanya PerainoI can’t say enough good about this dance studio! They won my heart a few years ago because they showed me they care for their students regardless of if they were recreational or in their company. I watch as a my daughters are in class, they say hello and ask how you are, and know all the students names who walk in the door. I have 3 daughters and they all are excited to dance because of how they make them feel upon walking into class!
Jun 06, 2023 · Andrea McCuen5 years ago my daughter decided she wanted to try dance. We looked up a few studios in the area and visited them, but then took a class at The Movement project and she absolutely fell in love with dance. From the moment you walk in the door you fall in love with the staff. The instructors are awesome and when you see the incredible choreography and imagination come to life on stage, it’s a beautiful thing.
