Tea Dancers - Aerial Dance Academy Reviews
Happy parent to a kiddo who was a student here for 5 years. Natta, the director, is an artist and she treats all of her students like artists. They are not just learning circus tricks on equipment. No mistake- they do learn many amazing skills on the aerial equipment that require flexibility, strength, and grace. What makes Tea Dancers different is that the focus is on the art and developing the artist. Every year the students are part of an original production. We're talking original choreography, lighting, effects, props, the whole deal. The finished work is an amazing piece of art that combines dance and aerial skills that they are proud to be a part of.Natta makes sure to develop the artists as well. Students are given the opportunity to choreograph their own works, and as they gain skills they also are able to explore mentoring and teaching opportunities under Natta's watchful eyes. I appreciate that safety for her dancers is always a priority at the studio.
Sep 03, 2023 路 Naomi YamasakiNatta's studio is a special place. I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled. My daughter has been taking aerial classes with Natta for almost 6 years so I have watched her studio grow. She brings incredible warmth, creativity, and skill to every class every day. Between my kids, they have participated so many activities in the area, and I have never come across a teacher who is so kind and present and really connects with each child she teaches. She is an incredible role model. Her teaching is not cookie cutter, but builds each child's confidence, artistry, strength, and skill. I can't recommend her enough!
Jan 09, 2020 路 Rebecca SpringMy daughter has been taking aerial classes for over 3 years at the Tea Dancers and it has been a great experience. She has grown as a dancer and aerialist. It is amazing all the technical skill, dance movement, art & craft that my daughter has learned. Natta is thoughtful in her approach and has the kids weave thought, emotion and movement into the narrative of their dances. Every year the studio puts on the most amazing winter show. Each performer contributes and helps choreograph their dance. The result is pure magic. Each child shines bright!
