Flux Vertical Theatre Reviews
I have been coming to Flux for performances for years and can't stop coming back. Now I'm a student too.Flux is a stunningly beautiful, newly built facility that doubles as a performance space and dance studio. The teachers are the best in their crafts. Gender, race, sexual orientation and body-size inclusive, they go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome and has a place.I will be taking more classes here and I encourage anyone interested in pole, burlesque or pilates to do the same.
Mar 20, 2025 · Amy AbascalI absolutely love this studio. It’s gorgeous and the instructors are all very experienced and bring their own expertise. One of the things that was really meaningful to me was that many of the instructors have helped with me wanting to continue dancing while dealing with chronic pain and recovering from injuries (while not pushing me to do more things that would injure me). The owners seem to care about everyone who walks through the door and they obviously poured their heart and souls into the space. I also love that so much of the focus is to make you feel performance ready.
Mar 10, 2023 · Jessica MarI went to Yoko's Thursday beginners class. She is a phenomenal teacher and explains things very well. If you are a beginner i would highly suggest Yoko as a teacher. I stayed for the intermediate SIT & SPIN class. Although I am a beginner, she was such a great teacher that she was able to differentiate the instruction for me and make me feel like i was able to take full advantage of the class. (I already had some upper body strength and that helped too). I bought a January monthly pass and am happy I have found a new hobby. So excited to get as good as the pros I see there!
Jan 07, 2023 · Sofia RojasI love this studio! It is such a beautiful environment that the owners clearly put a lot of thought into. The space itself is wide open with plenty of mirrors and creature comforts as they are opening up.The instructors are all so experienced and really make you feel welcome at all levels. This is a safe place to explore your dance art and self expression.
Oct 18, 2022 · Kayla HummelI just took my first class here and really enjoyed it! I took Yoko’s “Sit, Spin, Fly” class and we learned tricks and combos for static, spin, and fly pole. Yoko clearly has a lot of teaching experience and definitely has that quality of being able to get you to do things you didn’t think you could. I’ve been poling consistently for about 10 months and consider myself an “advanced beginner” and found the class to be a good balance of challenge without being completely overwhelming. Yoko did a good job of adapting the tricks to the mixed skill levels of our group overall. The studio is new, clean, spacious, unique, and fun to move around in! I look forward to taking Yoko’s class again and trying out other teachers’ classes as well.
