The core mission of Talent Factory Arts & Dance appears to revolve around introducing children to the performing arts in a structured environment. They offer classes that aim to build foundational skills in dance, encouraging students to develop rhythm, coordination, and an appreciation for movement. For parents considering extracurricular activities for their children, this local studio presents an option for engaging in the arts close to home. Their programming is designed with the intention of providing a consistent and progressive learning path for students as they grow in their artistic journey.
When selecting an arts and dance studio, local families often weigh various factors, including the atmosphere, instructor quality, and overall experience. Talent Factory Arts & Dance, as with many community-focused businesses, generates a range of experiences among its clientele. Understanding these diverse perspectives can help prospective families make an informed decision about whether this particular studio aligns with their needs and expectations for their child's artistic development in Indiana.
One parent shared a very positive experience, stating, "My boys love dancing for Talent Factory Arts & Dance! My 5 year old asks every day at school pickup if it’s a dance day 💕 It’s a family owned studio and you can really tell they care about the kiddos beyond “just dance.” He’s gaining self confidence, making friends, learning to follow directions, and practicing patience & perseverance all while having the time of his life 🙌🏻" This review highlights several key strengths: the children's enthusiasm, the studio's family-owned nature and care for students, and the development of important life skills beyond dance itself, such as self-confidence, social skills, and perseverance. This perspective suggests a nurturing environment that contributes positively to a child's holistic development.
Conversely, another parent expressed significant dissatisfaction, recounting a "horrible experience." Their concerns included: complaints about a 3-year-old needing to use the restroom during class, a strict no-entry policy even for pictures, being locked out for being three minutes late, high recital ticket costs ($20 per ticket, even for a 4-month-old who wouldn't use a seat), a very limited 1-day, 1-hour window for recital shirt pickup (which were also $20 and already purchased), and difficulty contacting the studio outside of class times. This parent, a former dancer, concluded, "I’m very unhappy with this company and will not be returning. I’m not one to leave reviews, especially bad ones but I’m very upset by the lack of communication and understanding from this company. Not all of our children are comp. Dancers and are young and figuring things out, there is no need for such harsh and strict rules. I was very excited for my daughter to dance here for her first year but as I stated, I will not be returning. This is all said by a former dancer and knowing how a dance studio should work." This detailed feedback points to significant concerns regarding communication, policy rigidity, customer service, and an apparent lack of flexibility for young, recreational dancers and their families.

The positive feedback underscores a studio that, for many, provides a nurturing and fun environment where children genuinely enjoy learning and growing through dance. However, the critical review points to aspects like communication, flexibility, and certain policies (e.g., bathroom use, entry rules, recital logistics, and limited pickup windows) that may not align with every family's expectations, especially for very young or recreational dancers. Therefore, for locals, Talent Factory Arts & Dance is suitable for those who value a family-owned establishment with a structured approach and who are comfortable with potentially firm operational policies. Talent Factory Arts & Dance Reviews
Horrible experience, they would complain every time my 3 year old would have to use the bathroom during class, you can not enter the building at all even for pictures. We were 3 minutes late for class one day and they locked the doors and wouldn’t let her in for class. For their recital I had to pay $20 a ticket and $20 for my 4 month old son to attend the recital as well even though he will not be using his own seat. They give you 1 day in an 1 hour time frame to pick up recital shirts that were also $20 and they said that is the only day you can pick up. So I’m unsure I will even be able to pick up a shirt that I have already purchased. They are also closed until my daughter’s dance class started and there is no way to contact them at any other times. I’m very unhappy with this company and will not be returning. This is all said by a former dancer and knowing how a dance studio should work.

Dec 01, 2022 · Brittney LearSuch a wonderful place. Every student is accepted as a member of this wonderful family. They make everyone feel special. Instructors are very knowledgeable and give 100% plus in their teachings. Love everything this company stands for. 💖The new studio is beautiful.
Aug 30, 2022 · Cindy WTonight I got to watch my two little dancing divas perform in front of a sold out auditorium. I absolutely love the fact they love to dance and have found a place to do it with amazing teachers. They embrace everyone and their differences and build upon them. Do I think my girls are amazing dancers? No, not in the technical since, however I do think they are amazing because of the smiles and heart they put into it. Plus they are brave enough to get up in front of a room full of people and have fun. I have watched Della in the last three years of dancing at TFAD find a place she feels comfortable to be herself, challenge herself and work hard to better herself all while having fun and making relationships. As for Hattie in the last three years I have watched her improve her focus to learn most of the dance routines. When she started she was just happy to finally be able to do something like Dell. We all know Hattie is up for a fun anytime and doesn’t take much to seriously, but she is learning the techniques and adding her Hattie flair like only Hattie can do. Thank you Talent Factory Teachers and Staff for another great holiday showcase and allowing my girls a safe place to dance like nobody is watching
Feb 26, 2018 · Kevin DiningerI don’t have dancing kids, but every friend I know and stranger I have met with a child who goes to Talent Factory, has nothing but positive and encouraging words about them.
