Performance Team (Evergreen Rhythm): For those interested in performing, Swing Dance SCT offers a performance team, Evergreen Rhythm, which holds regular auditions. Nov 27, 2024 · Erica TaualaI have danced and taken lessons at just about every swing dance venue in Seattle, and SCT is top notch. The instructors here really care, both about providing high quality instruction and about building a community and introducing new people to dancing. They are also some of the best dancers in the scene and have won major awards all around the country. The dances are very welcoming and the live music and jam sessions are super fun. You don't need a partner or any dancing experience to get started. Highly recommend!
Jan 18, 2023 · Jack SwiggettSwing Dance SCT is my favorite place to dance in Seattle! My home scene is in Tacoma but I regularly make the trip for classes and social dances (especially for live music nights). The scene is welcoming and the teachers are both incredibly skilled and approachable. I also love that they do an amateur jazz jam night—it's a great opportunity for dancers and musicians alike!
