Ronda's Elite Dance*Tumble*Cheer*Acro Center Introduce
For families in Lee's Summit and across the greater Kansas City metropolitan area in Missouri, discovering a specialized center where young athletes can truly thrive in dance, tumbling, cheer, and acrobatic arts is a significant find. Ronda's Elite Dance*Tumble*Cheer*Acro Center is more than just a place for physical activity; it's a dynamic and supportive environment dedicated to fostering growth, building confidence, and honing skills in various performing and athletic disciplines. We understand that parents seek a place where their children feel encouraged, challenged, and part of a positive community, and Ronda's Elite strives to embody these values.
Since its inception as Ronda's Total Technique in Dance back in 1983 in Blue Springs, this studio has built a rich legacy spanning over four decades. Ronda herself expresses immense joy in her profession, cherishing the opportunity to meet and positively impact the lives of countless children. The philosophy at Ronda's Elite is deeply rooted in instilling self-esteem, self-confidence, and vital life lessons in each child, qualities that extend far beyond the studio walls and into their lifetime. Dance and acrobatic training here is not just about physical grace and strength; it's about teaching children the profound importance of integrating mind and body to express themselves artistically and creatively.
While the studio has a long-standing positive reputation for its supportive coaching staff and environment, as highlighted by many long-term families who describe their experiences as "absolutely amazing" and "very POSITIVE," it's worth noting that some newer perspectives might differ. We encourage new families to visit, take a tour, and experience a free trial class to form their own informed opinion, ensuring the environment aligns with their individual preferences and expectations for viewing class participation. Our primary goal is to maintain a supportive space where athletes can grow and develop their skills under dedicated guidance.

Jul 27, 2021 · Megan MurphyFirst of all, this studio seems like a HUGE cash grab. They’ll say what you want to hear to get you in the door and your money in their pocket. The blonde lady with glasses at the front told me that ONLY the first class, does the parents have to sit in a room with a TV screen (think computer monitor size) that’s incredibly blurry, with no sound. The whole gym isn’t covered with cameras either. The room you sit in is so small and cramped and hot and all the parents have to find a way to watch one small screen if they want to watch their kid participate. Then after the trial class, I went to sing her up, and something in me said to ask about being able to go back with my daughter. And this other lady mentioned on a that no, it’s like this for every class. Then the blonde lady started stumbling on her words like she was caught in a lie. I did NOT like that at all.IMO… avoid this gym at ALL costs. Something is off to me and I just don’t like it.
Nov 12, 2024 · Kate WI was initially happy after enrolling my daughter in recreational tumbling at Ronda’s. It seemed like a great transition for her from acro at her old dance studio. As time went by I noticed a few things I didn’t like, but I let those things slide because they were little things. Then one night a male coach body-shamed my 10 year old. She didn’t tell me right away, but when she did I was fuming. I sent an email that same night (12/15/23) and asked to receive a response from the owner.I understand it’s my child’s word against the coach, but I will absolutely, EVERY time, believe my daughter when she tells me about ANY interaction with an adult concerning her body. She is a child. She is growing and developing physically, mentally, and emotionally. She doesn’t need a grown man in a position of authority criticizing her body. Children develop self-confidence issues quite naturally, just from being around their peers and watching TV. Comments from adults should be encouraging and helpful, not insulting. Especially from coaches!!The thing that makes me the most angry is that no one ever responded to my email. I emailed again (12/22/23), called and left a message (1/5/24), and even sent a message through the website. I don’t understand why at the very minimum, SOMEONE from the studio hasn’t responded that they are sorry about our experience. Complete silence is an insult, not to mention extremely unprofessional, and an unacceptable way to run a business. In hindsight I wish I had pulled my daughter out sooner. They have very poor communication skills if you ever find yourself needing to speak with someone. Also, children are allowed to walk out with anyone. There’s no one checking to make sure they’re with the correct adult — or even with an adult at all. I had hoped that would improve after they moved to their new location, but it did not. It has never felt like a safe place to leave my child and I cannot recommend Ronda’s to anyone because of that and my daughter’s negative experience with her coach.
Jan 19, 2024 · Esther OkersonSuch a great place! My daughters love going to their classes here. The staff is all so friendly and the studio is so clean. I love that they have so many classes available for the girls to take. My daughters have been attending for the last 4 years and love it. I’m amazed by their growth. My youngest is a member of the competitive team. Her instructors have all been professional and fun…not to mention really talented. I really appreciate how dedicated the whole team is to giving kids a solid foundation, building confidence, and providing them with a lifelong love of dance and acro.I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a school.
May 20, 2021 · Kim JeffriesWe love Ronda's! Our little one has been attending since she was 3 years old! Over the past 3 years she has grown so much and has learned the value of teamwork, persistence, and what it means to work hard to get great success! The coaches are amazing and always go out of their way to make the kids feel safe and valued! We would highly recommend!
