Parkettes Reviews
My daughter went here back for a daddy and me class as a baby that we enjoyed! Now fast forward to years later and she is in gymnastics and couldn't love it more . All the coaches are great my daughter lights up seeing coach Jenn, coach Rick and really any other coach she interacted with . I don't get the bad reviews. However I guess the best thing is to form your own opinion , because if I listened to the negatives my daughter would be missing out .
Apr 02, 2025 · Jonathan BergholdThe vibe of this place is so unsettling to those trying to get their kids more involved with physical activity in a different way than school sports. Never in a billion years would I go back there with my kids - and I still have classes left I paid for!Staff treats the children as if they’re 18 in basic training - yelling and belittling anyone who isn’t a ‘superstar’. The fact they say in their website that they are dedicated to providing every child with a complete and positive athletic experience is an absolute joke.Parents feel unnecessarily entitled and rude to others who aren’t ’on their level’. I met a Marisa Draser and the things she said about others behind their backs was absolutely appalling. Literally one cares that your kids are naturally gifted athletes and better than everyone else there. If I knew I was signing my kids up to be ridiculed by arrogant people I would have never gave them my paycheck. This program doesn’t develop anyone in a positive way - they take kids who are exceptionally gifted and exploit that to claim they’re producers of champions.Do yourself a favor and believe the other one star reviews. I would have saved a lot of money if I took that advice myself.
Sep 28, 2024 · Bruce WayneNepotism destroyed this once great institution. Management was passed down a generation to lazy, incompetent and entitled individuals who have no business running a business. We removed all 3 of our children from this program due to its complete collapse. Parkettes used to be a Mecca for child development and competitive gymnastics, now it is not even a shell of its former self. There is little to no structure in the classes and the "instructors" are far more interested in their phones than attempting to tech any sort of gymnastics. They pay no attention to the children and no one seems to care. I have brought this up with management and have been rudely blown off each time. Save your money, save your time and take your kids somewhere more worthwhile. Its truly a pathetic environment.
May 28, 2025 · BrennaThis place is fraud. My daughter, who is a professional dancer was hired by their administrator Brooke to teach dance classes during their summer intensive. She thought 6 classes but was only paid for four. When she told Brooke that the amount on the check is lower than supposed to be, Brooke said that they will mail the remaining amount. Unfortunately, the remaining amount has never came and Brooke disappeared and has never responded to messages or call. My daughter drove three hours per day to teach these classes and it just extremely low when people act that way, it’s very easy to ruin the reputation which was built for years.
Jun 23, 2024 · Anna SpektorI signed my (then) 4 year old son up for a introductory summer tumbling program at the recommendation of a friend, and was very disappointed in the staff's ability to work with my son who is on the autism spectrum. I could visibly see their frustration, despite his behaviors being fairly low level. I offered to assist my son through the class, but was told I could not do so, even though the staff's body language and faces showed their frustration and lack of willingness to work with a child with some minor behavioral challenges. I'm sure a more typical child might be successful there, but we did not feel welcome. We stopped going. Was a shame.
