Olympic Ballet Theatre & School Introduce
For residents across Washington state, particularly in the North Puget Sound region, the Olympic Ballet Theatre & School (OBT) stands as a beacon of classical ballet excellence and a vital contributor to the local performing arts scene. Founded in 1981, OBT has grown to become a cornerstone for both aspiring dancers and appreciative audiences. Under the esteemed leadership of co-artistic directors Mara Vinson, a former Pacific Northwest Ballet principal dancer, and Oleg Gorboulev, a former Moscow Classical Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet soloist, OBT offers a comprehensive and nurturing environment where the art of ballet is taught, performed, and celebrated. It's a place where tradition meets professional training, providing unparalleled opportunities for students and captivating performances for the community.
Olympic Ballet Theatre & School is highly regarded for its commitment to quality instruction and fostering a supportive atmosphere. As one satisfied parent noted, "We have been extremely satisfied with our experience at Olympic Ballet School. We transferred from another local school at the advice of our instructor. The instruction our daughter and son have received plus the performance opportunities they have enjoyed have been absolutely the best." This sentiment is echoed by others who praise the "quality training and guidance in a professional setting." A significant highlight for many is the "vibrant program for boys," addressing a crucial need in classical dance education. The school's dedication to "developing growth in technique and artistry with each increasing level" ensures a comprehensive and progressive learning journey. Beyond the studio, OBT brings high-quality original and classical ballet productions to audiences, often touring theaters in Edmonds and Everett, making professional ballet accessible to a broader Washington public.

Olympic Ballet Theatre & School Reviews
We have been extremely satisfied with our experience at Olympic Ballet School. We transferred from another local school at the advice of our instructor. The instruction our daughter and son have received plus the performance opportunities they have enjoyed have been absolutely the best. We were especially pleased to find they have a vibrant program for boys. We really can't say enough good things about our kids experience here.
May 23, 2018 · D HanksOlympic Ballet School offers quality training and guidance in a professional setting as well as multiple performance opportunities. We had the pleasure of hosting a Master class at our studio, both the students and I were very impressed with Mara's instruction. After visiting the facility to audition for their SI, we became further pleased with their school. The location is fantastic in a shared facility that was previously a school. The environment is rich with art, fitness and educational opportunities. After having a student attend their 2014-15 SI, we have multiple students who auditioned this year. I was graced with the honor of being able to watch their Level 5.2 class and was very impressed with their alignment, posture and abilities.
Mar 18, 2016 · Rhiannon ArcherelleWhat a wonderful evening with my daughters at the Olympic Ballet Theatre production of Coppelia! Everything was Top Notch. Firstly, it was held at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, a lovely facility. The concessions in the lobby offered a wide variety including wine and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.( I especially liked the salted Caramel chocolates... Yum!) All the staff were pleasant and very informative.Secondly, and MOST importantly the dancers on this closing night were excellent. It's not often that you can see a performance of this caliber in such a intimate setting. Look no further for a wonderful evening of the Arts.
