Mora Pole and Aerial-Lynnwood offers a diverse range of classes designed to introduce participants to the captivating worlds of pole, aerial arts, and sensual movement, catering to various skill levels. Their curriculum is structured to support both beginners and more experienced individuals in their movement journey.
- Pole Foundations: An introductory class perfect for new students or those looking to refine basic skills. Each session includes a sensual warm-up in a dimly lit space, light conditioning for strength building, and a short, flowing routine incorporating basic spins, tricks, and movements. Students are also introduced to freestyling. Attire often requires bringing shorts as more exposed skin is needed for grip as you progress.
- Pole: Level 1, 1.5, and 2: Progressive classes building on foundational skills, introducing new tricks, transitions, climbs, and inversions on both static and spin pole. These levels continue to focus on strength, technique, fluidity, and connecting movement to music.
- Aerial Hoop (Lyra): Classes that teach techniques and choreography on the circular aerial apparatus, focusing on strength, flexibility, and grace in the air.
- Aerial Hammock/Sling: Explore movement and tricks suspended in a soft fabric hammock, enhancing flexibility, strength, and spatial awareness.
- Sensual Movement: Classes dedicated to exploring movement in a more fluid, expressive, and often dimly lit setting, focusing on body awareness and personal expression. These are integrated into many pole classes and also offered as standalone sessions.
- Flexibility Training: Dedicated classes or segments within sessions to improve range of motion, crucial for pole and aerial progression and overall well-being.
- Intro to Bellydancing: Workshop-style classes providing a beginner-friendly introduction to the art of bellydance.
- Workshops: Periodically, the studio hosts specialized workshops focusing on specific techniques, styles, or unique aerial/pole concepts.
- Private Lessons: Personalized instruction available for focused training, skill refinement, or preparing for specific goals.
- Parties and Events: The studio offers a unique setting for private parties and special occasions, providing a fun and memorable experience.
Mora Pole and Aerial-Lynnwood stands out due to several key features and highlights that create a truly unique and appealing environment for its students in the Washington community.
- Incredibly Positive and Inclusive Vibe: Customer reviews consistently emphasize the studio's "positive and inclusive" environment. Students, even those returning after a long break or with initial nervousness, feel encouraged and supported, fostering a sense of community where "High frequency energies" abound.
- Supportive Instructors and Classmates: Instructors like Chrissy and Violette are highly praised for being "amazing," "encouraging," and creating a comfortable learning space. The encouragement from fellow classmates is also a significant highlight, helping new students celebrate even "the small victory of even showing up."
- Dimmed Lighting for Comfort and Mood: The use of dimmed lights is a unique and highly appreciated feature. It helps to alleviate self-consciousness about bodies and simultaneously sets a relaxing, sensual mood for the workout, allowing students to focus more on movement and less on external perception.
- Tailored Instruction for All Levels: Instructors are adept at accommodating varying skill levels within a single class, offering modifications and alternations of moves to ensure everyone, from "newbies" to those with more experience, feels comfortable and challenged appropriately.
- Focus on Sensual Movement and Self-Expression: Mora's philosophy, as hinted by its name meaning "to linger," encourages deep personal exploration through movement. The integration of sensual warm-ups and freestyling allows individuals to "explore your personal style and creativity" and "express your deepest identity."
- Unique and Challenging Workouts: Students describe the classes as "quite the workout," engaging muscles they may not typically use, leading to a rewarding physical challenge and noticeable strength gains.
- Boutique and Intimate Studio Style: The "intimate boutique-style studio" offers a more personalized experience compared to larger, more impersonal gyms, fostering stronger connections between instructors and students.

Mora Pole and Aerial-Lynnwood Reviews
Recently had my first class here and Chrissy was amazing!I took previous classes in another state, over a year ago and was nervous about doing it again after being away from it for over a year, and having had a baby during that time.Chrissy and the others in the class were so encouraging and helped me celebrate the small victory of even showing up.The vibe was so positive and inclusive.鉁笍High frequency energies鉁笍I love the lights being dimmed to not only help with self conscious bodies but to also set the mood for a relaxing workout. Will be back 馃枻
Apr 04, 2025 路 Ashley JoyI took a pole foundation class and Violette did a great job instructing our small class (5 people). I wasn't the only newbie, so alternating the moves to what was comfortable was a huge plus.I'm not super coordinated nor had the initial stretch to pull myself on the pole, but I had fun. Quite the workout if not used to using such muscles! Ow.Highly recommend!
Feb 29, 2024 路 Jackie EThis is my first time doing any kind of dance class and after about 3 months (just doing pole as of now), I鈥檓 obsessed! The studio is gorgeous and clean. It feels like a little escape from reality in the best possible way.I haven鈥檛 had all the instructors yet but the ones I鈥檝e had have all been great in their own ways. If it鈥檚 a smaller class, they really spend a lot of time making sure everyone is able to do each move. Even the larger classes (of 6) have a good degree of personalization and regardless of size, I鈥檝e always gotten something out of it.My one note is that classes do get canceled quite a bit (if there鈥檚 not at least 3 people signed up, it gets canceled) which can make it hard to plan for sometimes. But if your schedule is flexible there鈥檚 always alternatives you can sign up for!The community is great and supportive and no one is judgmental which is amazing. It鈥檚 very newbie-friendly.I鈥檓 getting muscles I never even knew existed and it鈥檚 so cool seeing what my body can do! It鈥檚 not for everyone, but if you鈥檙e even curious about pole or aerial, I highly recommend giving it a try!
Oct 23, 2024 路 Ashley HoffmanI'm going to list some negatives and positives. The studio is beautiful and clean. The class schedule has a nice variety of classes to choose from, but if only 1 person signed up, then expect the class to get canceled. A few of the teachers here don't really give much feedback, so it makes it hard to know if you're doing the moves right or progressing. Sometimes, there are more people than there are poles, so you have to share, which doesn't make the class worth it for me personally. The best classes get booked pretty fast on the schedule, so if you can make it in, you'll have a good time. Also, from personal experience, some(only some, not all!) of the classes did not feel inclusive or like they were creating a safe place for you to be yourself. Some of the teachers are wonderful, though, and truly great at teaching. I only rate 3 stars because I've had a mixed experience.
Aug 08, 2024 路 Tara BMora is so much more than just a dance studio. The community is truly special. Everyone is supportive and positive and we have so much fun in class. I鈥檓 an introvert, but I come alive here. This is the best place to unwind after a crazy day. I鈥檝e been coming here for years and will continue forever. The studio itself is clean, smells good, and has a warm, inviting vibe. Each instructor has something that makes them unique and they tailor their classes to who is taking them. If you鈥檝e been doing pole/aerial a long time, or if you鈥檙e completely new? Doesn鈥檛 matter. You鈥檙e welcome here. Come hang out with us! You won鈥檛 regret it.
