Northwest Dance & Acro has earned its reputation as a leading dance and acro studio in the Northwest, recognized for its exceptional teaching quality and nurturing atmosphere. They believe in fostering a positive, friendly, and respectful learning environment where dancers inspire and look out for one another. The comprehensive dance education they provide goes far beyond the stage, instilling values such as active lifestyle habits, a strong work ethic, creative expression, and the benefits of being part of a team. This holistic approach helps students build lasting confidence that will serve them well in all aspects of life.
The profound impact of Northwest Dance & Acro on its students is beautifully articulated in their testimonials. One former student, who attended from 2007-2020, shared, "This is a family owned business where every student becomes part of a family. Long lasting relationships are created and it was an amazing environment for me to learn and to grow as a person. This is a great confidence grower, and the teaching is one of the very best in the Northwest." This powerful endorsement highlights the studio's success in creating a truly transformative experience.
Another parent echoed this sentiment, stating, "My daughter is going into her seventh year at NW Dance and Acro and each year her passion for dance continues to grow. I am so grateful to have found a local studio with such excellent instructors intent on teaching the importance of good technique but not at the expense of their students' self-esteem." This speaks to the balance the studio maintains between technical excellence and nurturing a positive self-image. The commitment to using "different, innovative equipment and exercises to help the dancers train" demonstrates their progressive approach to instruction.
The community spirit is also a significant highlight. Parents consistently commend the "caring and encouraging environment, which you can see in the students' daily enthusiasm," and note that "bullying and rude behavior are not tolerated in students, parents, or teachers." This dedication to a respectful space allows friendships to blossom, with dancers cheering for each other's successes. As one parent delightfully noted, their only complaint is that "sometimes it's hard to get my daughter out of the studio! But that really speaks to the character of this studio, the teachers' passion and joy in what they're doing really resonates with the students and serves to inspire." It's clear that Northwest Dance & Acro is a place where students truly love to be.

Jun 23, 2025 · Michael HawkinsOur 3 girls have danced here for years. The skill, camaraderie and fun for them is worth all the time and effort we spend. Dance can be an introductory experience or a lifestyle. This studio allows you to experience any place on that spectrum. As a dance dad I love recitals and competitions. NWDA is a true regional and national competitor, and recruits, retains and produces real talent.
