North Texas Traditional Dance Society Reviews
Contra dancing is a wonderful way to get some exercise (and in air conditioning, no less!) Community dances are open to all for a low admission price, and the group provides live music. You don’t have to know anything about dancing because every dance is taught and cued. No partner? No problem! Did you ever dance the Virginia Reel in grade school? Well, then, you have already contra danced. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing and come on out to join this nonprofit, welcoming group, which is dedicated to preserving historic dance.
Jun 12, 2024 · Barb SmithThis group is very welcoming to new people. I was so happy to see several beginners that had never done contradance before at our dance on 2-18-23. Panda Stomp played such energetic music! My thanks to everyone who came and made this dance one of our best. Come back for more, every 3rd Saturday at 7:30 at 2155 Marsh Ln. in Carrollton. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to dance a lot. It is a great place for single people since everyone dances with everyone else.
Feb 21, 2023 · Lois DayI've danced and played tunes for NTTDS dances for over 30 years. My now adult children grew up with child-safe dances. No dance group can beat the dancing armadillo logo on NTTDS T-shirts. Good folks and friends.
Nov 09, 2023 · Joe IzenThese dances are always a blast...music, snacks, and the kindest people :)
