Aerial City offers a comprehensive and diverse range of aerial arts, pole dance, and fitness classes designed to cater to various interests and skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. Their curriculum is structured to build strength, flexibility, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
- Pole Classes: A core offering, pole dancing is presented as an incredible way to express oneself and a mainstream form of fitness. Classes combine dance and acrobatics, suitable for men and women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Students learn various spins, climbs, and poses, progressing from foundational movements to more complex routines.
- Aerial Silks Classes: Students learn to climb, wrap, and create beautiful shapes on long pieces of suspended fabric. Classes focus on building upper body strength, core stability, and flexibility, with instruction available across multiple levels.
- Lyra (Aerial Hoop) Classes: These classes involve learning dynamic movements, balances, and sequences on a steel hoop hanging from the ceiling. Lyra builds strength, improves balance, and enhances artistic expression.
- Aerial Hammock/Sling Classes: Utilizing a fabric loop, these classes are excellent for deep stretches, inversions, and exploring unique aerial poses. They are often less strenuous on grip strength, making them accessible to a wider range of participants.
- Trapeze Classes: Participants explore static trapeze, learning foundational tricks, balances, and sequences on the horizontal bar.
- Flying Chinese Pole: Unlike a regular pole, this apparatus is rigged only at the top, allowing for dynamic movements like swaying and orbiting. This specialized class often requires prior experience or is offered through private lessons.
- Stretch & Flexibility Classes: Dedicated classes focus on improving flexibility and stretching, which are key for injury prevention and progression in aerial arts. These classes are open to all flexibility levels and are designed to help students achieve goals like nailing the splits or improving overall body alignment.
- Conditioning Classes (AerialFit & PoleFit): These classes are specifically designed to build strength in the core, upper, and lower body, using principles from aerial and pole disciplines. They are open to all fitness levels, with modifiers to match individual abilities, and require no prior experience. They focus on proper technique and body alignment.
- Handstands Classes: Specialized classes for developing the strength, balance, and technique required for handstands.
- Kids and Teens Aerial Classes: Aerial City offers classes for all age groups, typically from 7 years old and up, including adults. This ensures that younger enthusiasts can also safely explore the world of aerial arts.
- Open Studio & Open Pole Sessions: These sessions provide dedicated time for students to practice and perfect skills learned in class in a self-directed environment, allowing for focused individual progression.

Aerial City Reviews
I have taken pole classes at Aerial City since October 2022 and I absolutely LOVE it! I have tried other pole classes in and around San Antonio, but no one compares to Aerial City. Despite having zero experience, I always felt welcomed here. The coaches (Michelle, Veronika, Mallory, and Erika) and the students are extremely encouraging. I have gained both strength and confidence. Michelle (the owner) does an incredible job of making the studio a welcoming place for anyone who wants to try a class including men and children.
Feb 21, 2025 · Renee RinnI’ve been attending silks classes for the past 5 months and I’ve enjoyed every second! Kim is such a fun, passionate, and knowledgeable teacher. She ensures you can learn skills based on your ability level and have fun while doing it. They also provide plenty of other classes - lyra, trapeze, hammock, pole, stretch, fitness, and handstands (there’s probably more I’m missing). If I had all the time in the world I’d take every class! If you’re debating whether to stop by, just go for it!! You won’t be disappointed 🥰
Oct 31, 2023 · Michelle RamirezAmazing place! We booked a private beginner pole class with Veronika for a bachelorette party. She was super sweet, helpful, and encouraging. We all left feeling confident despite never even touching a pole before. Highly recommend and would do it again!
Sep 08, 2024 · Katee MillerAerial City has become a daily source of inspirational. Five stars doesn’t give the experience of taking classes here justice. Michelle has created a space that welcomes everyone to express themselves and is dedicated to making sure you have the tools and resources to utilize all that that you learn in class. All of the instructors here have a passion for their craft and challenge you. Thank you for all the time and love, it gives me something to look forward to every week.
Oct 31, 2023 · Crissy PatiñoI began my aerial journey a year and a half ago and I had gone into a few studios before Aerial City and in all of them prior I never felt a sense of feeling welcome. But within minutes of being in Aerial City I felt not only welcomed but comfort in that I didnt have to know right away which aerial apparatus(lyra, trapeze, silks, etc) I wanted to learn. The studio provided the intro classes I needed to make a more informed choice for myself. All of the instructors are talented and well educated in their crafts, you can feel it in their classes that they want to help others achieve the same by being encouraging even when you fall to giving the push some of us need to push ourselves. I'm so glad I have a second home in Aerial City, I can't imagine learning and training anywhere else.
