Music House, School of Performing Arts - West Rogers Park Reviews
My daughter is learning piano with teacher Izzi. She I very thrilled every Saturday to see her teacher and to learn piano. Teacher Izzi is very nice and always updates me with what they learn everyday and what she plans to teach my daughter the ff week which is very amazing. Highly recommended place for kids and we love Teacher Izzi. Will bring my other daughter here when she turns 3.
Sep 28, 2024 · Maria HussainBoth my children attend Music House and love it. My older son is 11, and does Rock Band at his school and private drum lessons. He's having a blast and is really growing! My younger son is 7 and has started piano lessons this year. It doesn't come easily to him, but his teacher is patient and has a good sense of humor, and is teaching him how to learn, not just how to play the piano. The piano curriculum includes a lot of theory and sight reading - he's really learning the fundamentals that will carry him into whatever music he chooses to pursue later. Both boys frequently attend day camps when school is out and have a great time. My older son loves it because he gets to be a "junior counselor".Last year I also took singing lessons while my son was in his drum lesson. I had a wonderful time as an adult learner and really stretched and grew!
Feb 02, 2016 · Jen SmallMy daughter absolutely loves her music lessons! My wife and I have witnessed our daughter's growth with the violin and are quite impressed! She demonstrates patience, knowledge, and now skill.Music House also offers day camp on some of CPS's off days. My daughter was thrilled to have been signed up to have a day full of art, music lessons, and hip hop dancing! Honestly, your child will love it here! Ours surely does!
Feb 05, 2016 · Philip CantoreMy eight and nine year old kids recently participated in a (CPS day off) day camp, and had a great time! The day was divided into several periods across various artistic disciplines...theater, dance, visual art, and music. My son was a bit reluctant before I dropped them off...not being as sold-out to all of these areas as my daughter is. But he thoroughly enjoyed his time...which I imagine is a testament to the engaging and creative staff. My kids have been taking music lessons at Music House for several years now, and we've always been incredibly happy with the caliber of instruction and the level of student expectations, balanced with the right amount of [genuine and not gratuitous] encouragement. The music instructors we have are very knowledgeable in their craft, quite skilled in developing students' knowledge and skills, and enthusiastic about sharing their love of music!
Feb 08, 2016 · T PattersonMy daughter takes ballet here and loves it! Ms Kathleen is a great teacher and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I'm hoping to get my other kids involved in violin, piano and dance. We love this place!!
