McTeggart Irish Dancers Reviews
We have Irish dance experience at this studio, McTeggart, for just over a year and another studio in New Mexico for two years. It is a comparison of the two that primarily informs our opinions of McTs. The price for classes is very affordable, they offer a couple of schedule options, and the instruction is sufficient. Unfortunately, the communication is lacking and there is no feeling of community or sense of rapport. Our former studio had a lovely program where the dancers of all levels knew each other and the younger dancers learned from the older ones. The families knew each other too and we all knew the teacher well. It was fun for dancers of ALL levels to perform together at festivals and fairs--friendships were formed that made the program more than dancing. It really felt like a dance family. We had no such experience here. The wonderful teacher that other reviews speak of is no longer teaching here, but I got that news from my kid not because any adults let us know what was happening. I emailed the director to let her know my dancer wouldn't be re-enrolling but I never received a reply. I was removed from the email list so I know she got the information. My dancer apparently won't be missed.
Oct 06, 2024 · Amy JacksonHaving moved from a large city with a large Irish Dance community when my daughter was young, my daughter was nervous to start over but she was immediately welcomed into The McTeggart community and McTeggart quickly became her new dance home! The lead teacher, Anne provides many dance and performance opportunities for all levels from the very beginners to advanced. The older dancers are phenomenal mentors to the younger dancers. While St Patrick’s week remains a highlight for dancers, there are year round local performances, competitions and workshops which provide a unique art and cardio rich sport for children to participate in. There is something very special about being part of the oldest Irish dance school in Colorado, and Anne Hall and all of the other teachers provide outstanding and caring instruction. The friendships and time spent bonding are the strongest friendships. So thankful that my child is a McTeggart Irish dancer!
Jun 29, 2021 · Esther GAs a long-time McTeggart mom and current adult dancer, I am proud to be a part of a school and community that shows true integrity and encourages dancers at every level. My daughter reached the highest level of competition, claiming several titles and qualifications, thanks to the supportive environment and dedicated world-class teaching. But aside from the competitions, it was and is a pleasure to be a part of a community that demonstrates and honors the real excellence of its history and the tradition of Irish Dance in every feis, local performance and practice. Irish dance can be whatever you want it to be, a hobby, a passion, an entire life and the McTeggart school continues to support and inspire each unique dancer at every step. Any parent would be proud to have their child be a part of this tradition.
Jan 08, 2022 · Susan KlibbeWe really love McTeggart’s! My youngest daughter started last year and now her sister decided she wants to do it too! It’s great exercise and very accommodating to the new beginner dancers just starting out. The classes are very reasonably priced and the teachers are so nice.
Jan 11, 2022 · Megan MurrayI have been the absolute luckiest to be able to call the McTeggart dance studios in Colorado my second home for 13 years now. The teachers are wonderful, encouraging, uplifting, and the classes are so fun and challenging. The McTeggart team is close knit and so loving. I feel so incredible to be able to be a part of this family.
