Lisa's Dance Studio Reviews
I have the great pleasure of taking group tap and private ballroom dance lessons at Lisa's Dance Studio in Quincy, MA. While they are famous for teaching ballet, jazz and lyrical dance, they also excel at teaching adult Ballroom! Arthur Purslow, my principal instructor for tap and co-instructor for my private lessons, is an immense talent who has encouraged me to have fun and be passionate about learning while he focuses upon my form, movement and frame. Lisa Jones, the founder and owner, while acknowledging that I am in my late 60's, pushes me to new levels of movement and has been wonderful in helping me understand posture, stride, count and balance while always finding time to laugh and enjoy the dance They are encouraging, supportive and love their work so much it is infectious. I am having a ball!
Mar 03, 2021 · Rex NowellI've had kids dance here for 15 years - every class, every level. Can't say enough about the quality and the value of the place. Great communication with parents, wonderfully friendly teachers and staff. Really a fantastic studio!
Aug 19, 2018 · Delvyn Case IIIWe have been part of this studio for 16 years. We love the instructors! They really care about their students. Our girls are part of the Dance Team and love it! The studio is very professional and the recital is awesome!
Sep 26, 2017 · Mary ShumanMy 3 year old god daughter was so excited to start class tomorrow 11/3, her mother also danced at Lisa's studio growing up. She thought it would be cute and memorable that they both grew up dancing there. Lisa already had my friend's number stored in her phone.. I was present during the phone call. Lisa asked how her family & kids were doing, they ended the call excited to start class the following week. Today my friend received an email about a situation that happened TEN YEARS ago with GIRLS SHE DANCED WITH. The email ended with Lisa not being able to "accommodate" her 3 year old child because two of her old dancers (whom had nothing to do with my god daughter & her mother) decided Lisa's studio was not what they wanted to do for the rest of their lives. Not even a global pandemic which resulted in all non-essential businesses being shut down for months would stop this woman's petty anger issues. Be aware that if you want to move on and do better for yourself.. Lisa will probably have a problem with it & ban you from her studio.
Nov 03, 2020 · Maggie PThe instructors were nice enough, but the owner was incredibly unprofessional in her correspondence with my wife and I. They don’t seem capable of handling toddlers, so I’m not certain why they have a toddler class.
